"We celebrated my son's 40th birthday, which is also my milestone, and we wanted to treat ourselves to a special dining experience. Unfortunately, we were let down by the food. My son's meal arrived lukewarm, and while it was replaced with a hot one at no extra charge, by the time he received it, the rest of us had already finished our meals. Additionally, the lunch wasn't inexpensive, especially for just a soft drink each. On the plus side, the service from the waitress was excellent."

Our experience at The Ivy Cardiff was absolutely perfect. This was our first visit, and I can't recommend it highly enough. The service was exceptional, and the staff were wonderful. I'm especially grateful for the sweet gesture of the cake and candle for my husband's birthday. I can't wait to go back!

Messed up food order after initial item not available, ordered fish cake and got fish and chips! Told also out of fish cakes…..fish and chips riddled with bones. Steak good but sauce missing until half way through the meal. Cocktail are nice if that helps. We just laughed our way through and had a fun night anyway. View menu

The food was disappointing, the portion sizes were small, and there was a lack of menu options. I had specifically requested a table upstairs when I made the reservation, but upon arrival, I was informed that the upstairs area was closed. Instead, we were squeezed in between two tables, which hurt our sense of intimacy. I won’t be returning!

Again another brilliant night at The Ivy, to begin the wasabi&squid to die for. Main meal, had the Ivy beefburgers in a brioche bun with chips beautifully cooked. In addition my family had the vegetarian burger, mushroom &vegetable with cheese again in a brioche bun. Accompanied with a bottle of the house rose. Very nice indeed. Brilliant service as usual.
