The menu has really declined compared to what it used to offer. There are no pizza, wings, fajitas, or ribs anymore. The highlight of my visit was a 13-year-old girl who was working exceptionally hard. I would have liked to see more variety and quality in the menu.

I would highly recommend choosing a different place. We weren't informed until after checking in that the restaurant and tiki bar were closed. The room was too small for two adults to be comfortable, and the road noise was unbearable. I returned the room key within half an hour of arriving! Spent the weekend at this motel our first visit there .We celebrated our anniversary there and had a great time.Everyone was super friendly and very helpful.Really enjoyed the sunset cruise .Will definitely be back soon as we only live less than an hour away. I spent four wonderful nights at this charming roadside motel and enjoyed every moment. While it's not a luxury hotel, the rooms are small but clean and comfortable. We didn't come here to watch TV, so it was perfect for us. The in-room Keurig coffee maker was a delightful touch. Keep in mind that there isn't 24/7 desk service, so be sure to have everything you need organized during business hours. The tiki bar and restaurant were nice additions. We celebrated my wife's 70th birthday here while exploring the area, and we definitely plan to return. Overall, I would rate the rooms: 5, service: 4, and location: 4. Came in from Deep East Texas for family visiting in the area. And if you are from Texas and remember when we had Fried coconut shrimp that was unforgettable then you have too order the meal here. With all the changes of how food is prepared and cooked, because of all the new people coming into Texas from so many other states, then you know how our food is changing depending on where others are from. Lake Norman Motel is the place to stay!!! With boat rentals, bar and grill down below the Motel and the view is amazing. This was the best experience after all the COVID closures, although I have never Visited before COVID. I can only imagine before COVID, my husband and his family is from here.... View menu
