"The Local is located right across from the Blumenthal Theater in Uptown Charlotte is a pretty good spot the people are chill and the drinks were pretty good. It's a very diverse crowd which is what we like and everybody came together to have fun and there was no drama. The dj that night was pretty good too, there is no parking so you have to get in where you fit in. So I would recommend trying to get Uptown a little early. They serve food also but we haven't tried any of it."

Excellent bar selection and brews on tap. Recommend the burgers and wings especially when it is less crowded. Service is also very good.

Great place... My son and I was looking for a spot to grab something to eat quickly before the game... Needless to say they have amazing food and the hospitality was great... I highly recommend the Reuben and the sweet potato tots!!!

From all places my wife and I visited Charlotte, this was our favorite stop. Fun staff, friendly locals and good food. $2 Tacos on Tuesday (this is a crazy deal in a big metropolitan region) that were absolutely delicious. Do a favor and swing over! View menu

The Local provides a cozy, hometown bar atmosphere right in the city center. I really appreciated the high-top tables, and since the weather was nice during our visit, they had the garage doors wide open. We stopped by on a Friday afternoon, so it wasn't crowded, but it was somewhat challenging to place our drink orders. There were only two bartenders, and they remained behind the bar. We decided not to order any food and continued our stroll through downtown instead.

"My friends and I were enjoying a beautiful night in South End and one of them had found this place online. So we stopped by for a drink. Wow! Gorgeous place! The interior design gave me the warm, welcoming feeling of being at The Grand Bohemian Lodge in Greenville SC- upscale, but unpretentious, inviting, and fun. We were immediately welcomed by the bartenders who talked to us about their different beers and kombuchas. We ordered a couple of flights to sample as many as we could and sat down to play Jenga in one of their many seating areas. Our spot was 2 old leather couches flanking a gorgeous wooden coffee table. So relaxing and sociable. I’ve never been in a brew pub with so much greenery (ferns and other foliage adorn and drape from the rafters filling corners and crannies around the room), natural wood, and light! Another great feature was a floor-to-ceiling wall cabinet filled with really cool things. The beers were unique and fun to try. The vibe is worth the visit even if you don’t love beer. I enjoyed a glass of prosecco and loved learning about and sampling the other beverages. They also have a great outdoor space for gathering where dogs are welcome. My sense is this place was designed for building community, which is something we all need more of. Turn off your cellphones and come here to meet people, pet dogs, and enjoy a great experience!"
