"the personal screamed loudly about the caffe together and talked about things that clearly do not work, were connected to each other, entertained, but very distracting (and openly annoying) for us as guests in their room. we ordered a coffee that was good, they have a nice series of non-dairy milk to choose. we also ordered one of their vegan waffels, which was advertised prominently as soon as they were in. 15 minutes after the order we were able to pick up our waffel, on which the very distracted worker noticed that it should be vegan - so he pulled the waffel say: "whoops I forgot to make it vegan" I guess he took the waffel back and not just on it is gone, even if he made a mistake. then he went on to make our vegan waffel, another 15 minutes later, another man says to us that they “have still to perfect their recipe and cannot complete the vegan waffel order today” he offered us a cream or our money back. After we sit thirty minutes in the distracting / loud room, hungry, and already made with our coffee, we decided to go for the refund and decided to go. seems like an anomaly worse experiences, but it was enough for us to say that we don't go back in the near future. Too bad."

This is a great spot for breakfast. Nice place with lots of seats. We ordered crepes and they were very tasty.

We love this place so much. Excellent food and beverages, terrific place to linger. Gluten free options are not celiac friendly due to cross contamination.

This was a happy discovery when visiting Bear Mountain. We loved it so much we put it on a must stop when we came up north. Loved the capichino and almond croissant. View menu

Very interesting. The music will take you back some where in some point of time of your life, and you will reminisce of a cup of coffee or cocoa. Definitely check out. Outdoor seating.

their vegan waffels are delicious I have one with their berry-comonate and I inhale it. I also have a soy latte, which was delicious and decorated with appealing latte art. large square with plenty of seating, overall good mood. will be coming back in any case!

a great breakfast / brunch experience in a city without too many vegan options. they have customizable vegan waffels and crepes that were both really great! also large coffee (with vegan milk naturally.) really friendly service. a perfect place to come before a hike. View menu

One of my favorite coffee houses, ever! The staff is incredible, the owner is amazing and they continue to come out with more and more vegan. Try the vegan waffle with peanut butter, banana and maple syrup! Non dairy milk for all your coffee needs, like soy and almond. And don’t forget to check the case for baked goods. Highly recommend a special trip to visit them. They won’t disappoint! Updated from previous review on 2018-07-22

peekskill caffe is a large small caffe with many vegan options. a little annoying that they are not clearly marked on the main menu card, but if they grab one of the hand-held menus, they can see that there are options for vegan crepes and vegan waffels. I am not sure if one of the baked in the case were vegan because they were not clearly marked again, but there were prepacked vegan cookies. they also have a lot of alternative milk. my vegan crepe with vegan ricotta was delicious. I'd definitely hold back if I'm in the opposite!

"Last night was no exception. Despite the restaurant buzzing with diners, including a celebrity group at the large round table beneath a whimsical mural of a giant octopus attacking a ship (I couldn't help but joke about enjoying one of its relatives as I waited for my appetizer), the atmosphere remained lively yet welcoming. Chef Mike oversees the kitchen with passion and creativity, making it a point to personally greet guests, often alongside his sous chef Sarah. Their visits feel like a warm addition to the dining experience rather than an interruption, and they are always eager to share insights about the dishes and their inspirations. You never know who might be dining nearby, adding to the restaurant’s charm. The “captain’s table,” known for its lazy Susan, was occupied by notable figures like actor/comedian Tate Donovan, AMD's senior vice president Forrest Norrod, and actress Sadie Sink, among others. They were enjoying their evening as we arrived and continued to do so as we wrapped up our meal. I started the evening with a delightful passionfruit cocktail, followed by Korean fried octopus and wild Hokkaido scallops that nearly made me swoon. The octopus was incredibly tender—best I’ve ever had—coated in a delightful sweet, savory, and spicy sauce that complemented it perfectly. Free of heavy breading, the octopus truly stood out. The scallops were cooked to perfection, accompanied by a potato strata, homemade blue potato chips, and a creamy sauce elegantly poured over the dish by our server. My companions enjoyed the yin yang roll, onion baddies (which I sampled and found indescribably delicious!), as well as the Long Island Duck and Fisherman’s Stew—all reported to be excellent. Chef Mike certainly excels at fusion cuisine! For dessert, we knew we couldn't hold back, as all desserts are made in-house by Sous Chef Sarah. We shared the Cherry Poppin' toffee pudding, carrot cake, and Rhubarb Rose. Unfortunately, due to a chocolate allergy at our table, we missed trying the Choc Daddy, but I fully intend to return soon to sample it. The Cherry Poppin’ offered a delightful twist on toffee pudding, using tangy dried sour cherries instead of the usual dates and brightening the dish with Meyer lemons in the sauce. The Rhubarb Rose was a visual masterpiece reminiscent of Willy Wonka: bright and colorful, built on a gluten-free almond cake layered with poached rhubarb, a rich vanilla-rhubarb mousse, lime streusel, and charming curls of rhubarb crisps. Absolutely delicious! The carrot cake was undoubtedly the best I’ve ever tasted, showcasing Chef Sarah's ability to deliver desserts that are nuanced and balanced—decadent yet never overly sweet—a perfect finale to a truly delightful meal shared with great company, all while overlooking a gorgeous view. Just go already! (However, if you dislike waiting, be sure to make a reservation, and for a quieter experience, consider visiting on a Thursday or Sunday.)"
