The Shack was so good! We got the fish tacos, shrimp plate, and chicken empandillas. The service was super friendly great, and it wasn't super crowded. The portions were also very generous. We will definitely be back!

If you’re not eating here… something is wrong! This place is absolutely amazing. Very family oriented. Veteran owned. Natalie is an amazing waiter and manager. Her mom is so sweet! Atmosphere: Bright, clean and sunny, welcoming Service: Since it was our first time here, our server made some wonderful recommendations. Service was fast and very responsive. Food: Best fried calamari we've ever had. My husband had the seafood mofongo and I had the shrimp mofongo. My shrimp were cooked to perfection almost melting in my mouth. We finished out our meal with the cheese flan. It was perfection on a plate. We will definitely be dining here again!

This place reminded of my mother’s cooking and true Caribbean food! Our server Natasha was amazing! She described each meal to us and helped us make the ideal selection. We had the tamarind juice, red snapper, fried pork mofongo, fried yuca, friedplantain, 3 empanadillas (shrimp, fish beef) the coconut flan for dessert. If you’re ever in Harker Heights don’t sleepon this place and if you want delivery or pick up they do that also! The place is clean and welcoming, they also have an outsidedining section.

Owned and operated by ex-military family, who has passion for food and heart for people. The service was exquisite and the food was fresh. If you like some gold ceviche, look no further. This is your spot. Fresh, healthy and nutritious. For entree, weshared crab mix boil, which was also very tasty. We had our puppy with us and he was perfectly comfortable in the patio as well.When/if we are in the area, we are definitely coming back here! This place was a breath of fresh air amongst all the chainrestaurants with salty, processed food.

I recently visited The Shack Caribbean Seafood and had a wonderful experience! Its more of the PR/DR variety not the USVI type cuisine so keep that in mind. The atmosphere was cozy, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the fresh juices we ordered and empanadas. However, one item (lobster empanada) on my plate was cold (actually cold like out of the refrigerator cold) that slightly detracted from an otherwise perfect meal. Not a big deal for me but other folks may take notice. Overall I would give it 5 out of 5 stars.

What can I say about this awesome little spot in Harker Heights…. A great spot to have some great food! A new twist on Puerto Rican classics as well as their twist on great seafood dishes! We had the Skirt steak Mofongo and it was AMAZING!! We also had the Fried Plantains with the critical dipping sauce…. “MayoKetchup”. The customer service was outstanding and they made us feel at home. If I had to say if one thing that may needed a slight improvement it would be the time it took to get our food… it was a little lengthy but the great taste made up for it!
