The Silver Lining Creamery

It's one of my favorite ice cream shops in Rapid City. They got new owners not too long ago, but the ice cream still taste delicious, and the waffle cones I think are better.

I had the pumpkin pie ice cream and it tasted exactly like it... it was very flavorful. Nice to see something different than Dairy Queen. Highly recommend and prices are decent too!

We stumbled onto this place in downtown Rapid City. Ice cream made on site. Very dense and creamy ice cream. Very flavorful. Large portions. Pricing not at all unreasonable (esp compared to the $5-$6 single scoops we've seen out east). Highly recommended. Come with a good appetite.

This is the best ice cream in Rapid City. We frequent here often and are surprised by how much we love it every time we come. New surprising flavors that I wouldn’t have thought I would like (cotton candy ice cream is actually really good). Love the creamy taste and the smell right when you walk in. Perfect location.

Super cute ice cream shop located in the heart of downtown. They have some fun flavors like Lemon Oreo and Rose. The ice cream is delicious with nice somewhat subtle flavor. Mouthfeel is very creamy but not too heavy at the same time. We came to get dessert here two days in a row because we liked it so much. Service is also very friendly. View menu

The ice cream is tasty, but the customer service often disappoints. I visited today to grab a couple of pints, and the young man who rang me up didn’t say a word throughout the entire transaction—no "thank you," no "have a nice day," nothing at all. After completing the sale, he simply turned and went back to lounging by the other counter. This definitely soured the experience for me, and I don't think I'll be coming back.

Decently priced and decent serving sizes made this place better than I expected. Staff was very friendly, especially since we arrived 2 minutes to closing. We didn't realize the hours since Google said one thing, but it was Thanksgiving eve, so I get it. The staff gladly handled us and politely informed all the patrons that they were officially closed giving people a few minutes before asking people to let them close up. Ice cream very good overall as well, so that just made it all worthwhile.

They also have a freezer section where you can purchase different sizes of pre-packaged ice cream to take home. We recently picked up a pint of Lavender Honey ice cream, and it’s absolutely delicious! My all-time favorite was the carrot cake milkshake, which featured a whole slice of carrot cake blended in. Unfortunately, it was a limited-time offering, so it’s not available right now, but I'm hoping it returns! The atmosphere is another highlight of the creamery. It’s such a joy to grab a treat in the summer and stroll around downtown. There’s also outdoor seating where you can enjoy watching the fountains or the ice rink.
