"After quite a wait to be noticed by the staff in the back we purchased some desserts for Mother's Day, including a dino and flower cookie for my granddaughter. When we got them home we were disappointed to find the dino cookie was broken and the flower cookie looked discolored, not at all like the one in the case. While we were very careful with the cookies, we cannot say for sure the dino cookie was broken when we bought it. However the flower cookie must have been one of the worst looking in the group. If we buy again, we will be sure to look at what we buy before we leave the counter. Note: A few days later we returned to the bakery and ordered the same cookies, including an extra one. The young lady pleasantly showed us the cookies as she put them in the bag, and they were in perfect shape. This was more like the delicious baked goods and excellent service we have received there."

I bought a pound and a half of two different types of cookies, and while the flavor was enjoyable, they were quite stale. It's unfair to charge such high prices for cookies that aren't fresh. View menu

I received excellent recommendations from Mary on which cake to choose, considering my main criterion of not being too sweet. I ultimately ended up with a fantastic cake that was just what we were looking for. Thank you!

I have had her Cookies, Cakes, and Pies. Her quality and consistency is superb. I have been eating her baked goods for years and am never disappointed. My mother was a Home Ec. teacher and loves everyone of the goodies she makes. I can't recommend enough (try the ? cake...out of this world!!

I had a last-minute birthday cake emergency and needed to order a new one quickly. I love this bakery and noticed that DoorDash offered delivery. They even agreed to say "Happy Birthday" to my daughter and delivered the cake in just 40 minutes. It was a total lifesaver and, as always, absolutely delicious! View menu

I can't believe all the great reviews. Employees are rude and their scones have the taste/texture of cake. A real scone is a bit hard so you can dunk it in your tea and not have half the thing fall into your cup. Also way too big and not even close to the real thing. Quantity over quality, mediocre at best. Don't waste your money.

I just had the worst pumpkin pie from this bakery. I picked it up and cut into it as soon as I got home, but the crust was terrible and the filling was just awful. I can't believe this pie is worse than the worst ones you find at the supermarket, but it truly is. I’ve had other things from this bakery that were quite good—some scones, cookies, and individual desserts—but this pumpkin pie was a complete disaster. It was overly sweet, poorly seasoned, and made with low-quality ingredients. I really wish I could get my money back. Fortunately, I ended up buying a beautiful pie from The Frosted Fox. Overall, I'm very disappointed.

"I dined at Cafe Alley with a friend from work while on a business trip. The restaurant had been recommended by some of the locals, and also by another friend from work who had visited previously. We almost didn't stop, because the entrance marked for parking was closed off by a temporary fence, but we investigated further and found our way to parking behind the building. The restaurant is in what appears to have once been a produce warehouse, but it is very clean and well maintained, with the evidence of its former life giving it character. The hosts and servers were pleasant and knowledgeable, and we were waited on promptly. I hade the Blackened Chicken Alfredo, and it is not hyperbole to say the it is the best I have ever had. My friend and I both enjoyed our visit, and I would recommend Cafe Alley to anyone visiting the Ardmore area. I plan to eat there again the next time I am in town. Parking: When I visited, there was a sign directing traffic to a parking lot, but the entrance was blocked by a temporary fence. We almost went on without stopping, but we found that, by turning onto a small street at the other end of the building, we were able to find our way to parking behind the restaurant.
