"The recently renovated pension is an ideal spot for a quick getaway in the Hudson Valley. The staff was exceptional, and the check-in and check-out process was quick and hassle-free, even after hours. The rooms are on the smaller side, but they feature high ceilings, large sheets (which we loved so much we ended up buying them online for home), and high-quality bath products from 2Note in Hudson. It's more than comfortable and exudes a lovely Scandinavian vibe typical of the Hudson Valley. Speaking of vibe, the guest lounge was spacious and a fun place to hang out. We enjoyed some board games and shuffleboard, all while a soothing playlist played softly on the Sonos speakers. The restaurant was fantastic, boasting a beautiful terrace overlooking the lake. We ordered a bottle of wine and sat by the water—it was incredibly relaxing!"

A charming little inn with a small restaurant and full service bar. The limited menu has enough offerings to please any taste. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. The rooms are clean and modern but generally don't have TV's or fridges. Overall a pleasing experience!

Stay 2 nights and dinner was so good first night (ceils and 5 kinds of zucchini we ate there the second time (Fish delish! The couple it leads is just the best and it feels like family (if your family ran a 5-star hotel! So nice to eat dinner outside and take breakfast by the lake. Look at heron and some ducks I didn't eat! Amazing break! Perfect! Thank you.

We had an awesome weekend at Vanderbilt Lakeside and look forward to returning soon! The entire place is cozy, inviting, and comfortable. From the guest rooms to the game room to the fire pit to the canoe everything about our stay was perfect! We ate dinner in the restaurant two nights in a row and everything was fresh and delicious! To top it all off, everyone we met was welcoming and accommodating. If you're looking for an easy escape from the city, the drive was quick and easy and there was so much to do.
