"Update: I still stand by everything in my original review but I will add. Our work group picked to eat here again a year later. I was DREADING it, but ... It's actually a really nice dining experience when the weather is cooler and flies aren't swarming the table, which was the case this time. I was so relieved. Don't go when it's hot!! Our server was an angel and very sweet and attentive, so my review is completely about the atmosphere and not her. It's hard for me to fathom that there is a restaurant in Texas that doesn't have AC. Even harder to fathom that said restaurant would be so popular. And this was a day that was NOT triple digits so I can't imagine what it's like in the dead of summer. Especially with a bunch of people (like ourselves) who have most likely been floating in the sun for over four hours down the Guadalupe river. I'm usually cold and bring a jacket in my car for places I go that are super cold from AC, so I'm not hot natured. I was ROASTING the entire time. I highly recommend the bathroom. I was desperate for relief from the heat and thought, surely the bathrooms have AC. Thank the heavens it did. I asked an employee, who had also gone there to cool down, how many times a day ambulances had to come treat heat stroke victims. She actually confirmed this was a frequent occurrence. These POOR servers!!! In fact, while we were there they had to put ice packs on another person at another table. I downed at least three or four glasses of ice water along with a cold Topo Chico. Flies everywhere swarming our food. Flies were the the thing that finally made us give up and leave. I would have taken the rest of my pasta salad but alas, one fly that I tried to shoo away had settled in and was not going anywhere. So it got left. I ordered the cold pasta salad because putting something hot in my mouth seemed unimaginable to me. It was, I will say, absolutely delicious."
