Toast Coffeehouse - Menu

Stopped at Toast Coffeehouse while in Patchogue and I’m so glad we did because we LOVED our food. Everything came out perfect, I got the churro iced coffee and it was delicious! I’d so return if in the area, worth every penny. Ambience is great, staff was friendly. Loved it!

Picked this place out the blue on Sunday for brunch. If you want to plan ahead and do a reservation I highly recommend it. The wait was over 2 hours for a walk in at prime time. I’m so happy I didn’t give up and end up somewhere else because WOW! The food,drinks, and customer service was outstanding. The price for everything to be seemed decent but the food and everything just justified it to me. So worth the wait.

I really loved their vegan French toast even when it was the only vegan option there (the tofu scramble was abysmal). However, now they have several good vegan options on their vegan menu. Some of them are lacking a little in flavor but I am very very appreciative to have an entire vegan menu in Patchogue. The have beyond sausage and just egg products for breakfast. I love breakfast food, and Toast offers a wide variety of options making it difficult to choose! What stood out to me was their separate vegan menu for both breakfast and lunch. I was impressed to see they offered more than just Just Egg, including tofu scramble as an alternative. I ordered the Alchemist, which consisted of vegan eggs, vegan sausage, home fries, and toast. My husband opted for the tofu scramble with mixed vegetables. Both dishes were tasty and they even provided vegan butter! (Review updated on July 2, 2023)

Metered street parking is available at this restaurant. It can get quite busy, but I have been here many times for breakfast. This was my first time trying lunch, and I ordered the Brooklyn Chick’n. The portion size was nice and it came with fries. The presentation was great and the fries were delicious. However, the sandwich could have used more flavor and a sauce to enhance it. I highly recommend the breakfast vegan French toast and breakfast potatoes as my go-to meal for an early morning. I am excited to return in the future.

I have never been able to get a table on a weekend so I was able to eat at Toast for the first time on a Monday morning. I really liked the industrial/mechanical decor. The booths are roomy and comfortable. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly and the bacon was tasty-smokey and sweet. They could have used more Hollandaise sauce and the home fries had too much seasoning but were crispy. The steak in the Steak and Eggs was cooked nicely. Amazing server and very knowledgeable staff regarding vegan, modifications, etc. quick service. Ordered 2 hot coffees, one with almond milk foam, almond milk matcha latte(not pictured), splendid Benedict Arnold (sub for bagel and no bacon got extra home fries instead) side of home fries, vegan banana walnut short stack, side of vegan egg. Pretty much anything on the menu can be made vegan!!! Portions were very generous, quick service, server remembered everything and was very patient with alterations and knew even minor details of what was and wasn’t vegan. Had a party in their semi-private room for about 25 guests. Andre was super accommodating when we went to see the room and book. The online portal where we could see our menu choices and the bill breakdown leading up to our party was reassuring. The staff on the day of was friendly and helpful. Our party was standing while guests were still arriving and staff took coffee orders standing, which was nice. The cutesy, mismatched coffee mugs were a hit. Initially I had a horrible experience, which is writren below. However, I decided to give this establishment a second chance and it did not disappoint. Their food is delicious and the staff is outstanding. The portions are large and it is fairly priced. My server, Caroline, was awesome in her recommendations on my meal and checking in on my drinks and the taste of my food. I will definitely come back. BRAVO on visit number 2 !!!
