"I’m completely addicted to their cookies! Their vegan chocolate chip cookie in particular is so amazing. Tough Cookie is an all inclusive place where all sorts of people (cowboys, hipsters, moms, the local pig rescue, teens, etc. from the Bastrop community frequent. The spirit in the store, and the yumminess of the food, make it an absolute treat to visit every time. Who would’ve ever thought that an all vegetarian bakery would exist in a small Texas town? We are so very lucky to have it!"

The food didn’t take long. And was so good. So many pastry options. I’ll for sure be back.

Stopped in to hide out from the Texas heat. They serve breakfast and lunch all day. Staff was extra helpful! I had the tofu BLT w/o bread, and they happily offered carrots and hummus as a substitute.

I love this place and these people. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. So many vegan bakery items and food options. I had avo toast, a cinnamon roll, cookies, and grabbed a bunch of stuff to go. My other favorites are the biscuits and gravy(!

Charming local bakery with gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options available. They take care to use separate tongs for different foods to avoid cross-contamination. The staff is friendly and welcoming, creating an inclusive atmosphere for everyone. View menu

I tried the vegan biscuits and gravy, and while they were a bit bland, they weren't bad at all. The portion was huge (I recommend ordering the half size), and the prices were quite reasonable. We also took some cookies and a cupcake home, and they were all amazing!

Finally have vegan food in Bastrop TX. It's the only place within 25 miles that have vegan options. Tried a cookie, brownie and a pretzel wrapped brat. Very tasty! Looking forward to trying the biscuits and gravy. Island of plant options in an ocean of fried meat and BBQ. Highly Recommended!

Staff was welcoming and happy to answer questions. I had biscuits and gravy, cinnamon roll (can’t miss), and pbcc cookie. The one thing that can be improved upon in my opinion is the coffee. They use Austin Java I believe, and the beans are not as high caliber as this bakery. Looking forward to more visits. View menu

I love this bakery! They have an excellent selection of freshly baked vegan cookies and pastries along with a good number of vegan entrees that are all specially marked. Otherwise, everything else is vegetarian. I really enjoyed the freshly baked mini bundt and cookies I got along with the MayBLT. That, and the location in scenic downtown Bastrop make me eager to come back.

Charming little shop on Main Street that exudes a cozy hippie, grandma's house atmosphere. The staff were friendly and welcoming. There’s a small picnic table out front, but most seating is indoors. I ordered the biscuits and gravy—the biscuit was hearty, flaky, and absolutely delicious. The gravy had a unique flavor; it was a bit sweet and quite thick. With so many options, I’m eager to try something different on my next visit!

"To start Ms. Miracle was delightful. It was our first time here from Ga. She was attentive and patient with me. We got our food to go and it was delicious through and through. I had to get multiple things (Liver and Gizzards, crab cakes, whole catfish and 4 sides. Very reasonably priced on all items. I know one place I can get good food and it's here. I'm glad the recommendation came to me. They have enough tables and chairs for you to dine in and not be all on top of others comfortably. Great place!I had the pleasure of coming back to this tasty place. This time I was determined to dine in. Again Ms. Miracle was incredibly sweet. The baby shrimp basket was seasoned perfectly and cooked golden brown. I am not a hush puppy person but they were one of the best I've had. The sides are not seasoned with salt and pepper which is great for those who have other health problems. Unfortunately I was not able to dine in and enjoy this experience. It was cut short due to my allergies. I understand that this is an old building, however, the food is too delicious to be surrounded by mold and dust. It took all of ten minutes at the table for me to be completely overtaken by the extreme watery, puffy eyes and tingly skin. Please have someone come and check it out before it hurts someone seriously. The menu is too scrumptious to go away because no one is cleaning properly."
