"Went for Downtown Dining Week. This restaurant was on the $35 list, however service was significantly below that level. There was a long wait between courses, but plates were not cleared off the table until the next course arrived. Our server appeared very disinterested in our table. It also took a long time for drink orders to be delivered. New silverware was not provided and I was explicitly asked to remove my fork from the plate so the server could clear the plate. The food was decent to good, but nothing special. None of these issues would be that bad had they not all occurred or had the restaurant been on the $25 list instead."

"I’ve visited The Hattery numerous times and I've realized I've been taking this hidden gem for granted. My husband and I truly love this place. While it’s easy to rave about the unique and whimsical decor, I want to first highlight the menu—it’s creative and consistently satisfying. There's almost always something new to try, and although we often stick to our favorites, we always sample the latest dishes because we know they’ll be delicious. The staff is fantastic; they genuinely seem to enjoy their work, which contributes to the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Another delightful feature? You can enjoy an ice-cold breakfast beer in the park at 10:00 a.m. on Saturdays after a lovely walk. Finally, although the prices reflect current inflation, The Hattery remains more affordable than many other local options. It's a great choice!"

"I really don't understand why this restaurant gets good reviews. Had dinner here with my husband. He ordered veal parmigiana. It was literally as tough as shoe leather. The server offered to bring him another serving that was made fresh. Really??? So obviously the first dish was sitting around and recooked. It was awful. The replacement dish was better but not wonderful. I ordered spaghetti Puttanesca. The sauce was bland, no flavor at all, with some olives and capers. It tasted like they opened a can of tomatoes, threw in some olives and capers, then served it. So far from what Puttanesca sauce should be. The salads were average at best. Dressing was not made in house. We will not return. There are so many other excellent restaurants in the area. Don't waste your money."

"This was my first order from this restaurant. The order was for Szechuan Beef , Edamame, S1. Hot Sour Soup and S3. Wonton Soup and A2. Spring Roll (2) Although I have my favorite, Doylestown, Chinese restaurant, I wanted to try a place new. All of the portions from KF were in ordinately small by comparison to other Chinese restaurants. The food was good, but nothing special. My biggest issue was that the beef was so hot-spicy, it was almost inedible. So glad the rice was there to eased the spiciness. That being said, I was only able to eat a few bites. And I enjoy hot, spicy foods. The other items were OK, but not worth the What it confirms is that I still order from the best dTown Chinese restaurant!"

"Had hibachi dinner here tonight and we couldn’t have been more disappointed in the food. We had a fantastic server hibachi cook but the food was completely tasteless idk what happened! Started off with soft shell crab and the crab tasted like oil with a funky taste. The last few times I ordered this I could’ve sworn the dipping sauce came on top of the crab but it was very tasteless. The fried rice, noodles, meat, scallops and veggies all lacked flavor..no salt,pepper, garlic, VERY little soy. If you’re getting a combination dinner and get 8/9 little pieces of filet while everyone else had full portions even the other couple next to us got combo dinners that’s not right. For the money they charge this is really disappointing and I don’t think I’ll be returning. Before dinner tonight we had a few take out orders (sushi) that also missed the mark."
