"This place continues to go downhill. Our food was luke warm to cold, and the chicken was not properly cooked. Also, a number of menu items were not available. I think they need to reduce the menu by about 75%. Completely get rid of the Chinese section of the menu, and focus on trying to do a dozen or so dishes well. Having said all of this .. if you are interested in a quiet place for a discussion in midtown Manhattan and the gastronomic experience is not a priority, this place works."

Preferred their old buffet, but lunch special comes pretty close.

Food was good and service was attentive, despite the restaurant being very busy.

The lunch special was good. However, our server was surly and they automatically included a 20% tip on the bill. First time I’ve seen this for a This party of 2! No wonder there were empty tables everywhere

We had a delicious lunch here. My companion's lemon chicken and my lamb saag were excellent, as was his basmati rice and my peas pulao. The service was attentive but not overly intrusive. And i always love the feeling of space one experiences at Utsav.

The food, from the crispy cauliflower appetizer to the chicken biryani and chicken zaffrani entrees, was delicious. The service was mainly attentive, and the only misstep was the big hunk of lime in my martini rather than the twist of lemon that I had ordered. View menu

What better way to finish #durgapuja Ashtami in #NYC than at the only amazing restaurant #UtsavNYC that serves authentic #kolkata cuisine whether it’s their Kolkata Chinese or Bengali #deviledeggs #koshamangsho #Luchi cholardaal and #maacher paturi … along with their take on the #oldfashionedcocktail and their new menu in rum based cocktails called #kolkatastory

Excellent dining experience from the start with the hostess to the waiter, Kumar. The food was reasonable priced and served hot; delicious. Utsav is a “must” for anyone wanting to eat authentic Indian cuisine. The restaurant is modern with elegant seating. I’ll definitely return to try the other dishes and recommend Utsav to family and friends. Thank you for providing quality Indian food.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
