"Walked around for about 30 minutes trying to find something more than hand foods. Stumbled into west main, and the service was top notch. From the beaming, and lovely host. Which, i did not get her name. Davin, though boiiii lemme tell you about Davin. Pretty sure he had the whole restaurant. Sure seemed like it. However he handled it with grace and poise. Excellent service. Go, and ask for him and give him all the good tips. He works hard for it, and made sure everything was as it should be. Drinks wise i chose a standard mojito, but it was far from standard. It tasted perfect. Props to the bartender. Straight up nectar of the gods. Tasted like it came from Jesus's teet good. Now time for the reason we settle on west main. For dinner i chose the carved steak which was absolutely wonderful. Don't question anything, get it how it comes. A nice medium to med rare and it's delectable. Mine was more mid well, but was still melt in your mouth amazing. It tasted like how your girlfriend wishes it felt. My date chose the Thai noodles and she loved those as well. She managed the chop sticks like she was from Bangkok. Cause ya know thai noodles.... she sucked them down like how i imagine scarface would have if that movie was about noodles. Okay and now for the completely knock it out of the park 18th inning. The bourbon peach cobbler. Lawdhamercy james and the giant peach that shiz was good. The fresh puff pastry on top was the perfect crunch. The ice cream was delectable, and the cobbler was amazing like it came straight from Lanes Georgia. It comes on this skillet which is scalding how by the way. I definitely tried to grab the handle while i ate it, because i was trying to scarf it down before the wandering eyes of the vultures at the other tables stole it. But hand burning and all i scarfed it down before they could. As we were leaving a group of 20 walked in, and they looked like they just got done at a bar mitzvah or something. I really hope they weren't Jewish on that tip though davin. You did great. In closing. Definitely try this place. Whether in passing, or if you're a full on Lex Lutheran. the chairs and the couches, and the loungingness of it all. I felt under dressed honestly regardless of it being so laid back. *Dogecoin shirt* ask for Davin, and tip like you mean it. You'll be left with astounding service, and beautiful tasty food that will stick with you like white on rice."

The vegetarian option was great! My partner got chicken two ways, he was not so impressed. The cocktails were boozy but very expensive. This is a great place for cocktails for sure but I am not so sure about the food.

This is an amazing small lounge with fabulous craft cocktails and some classics. The bar has class. The staff is great and the atmosphere is perfect for cocktail bar. Music is at a comfortable level. The cocktails are amazing. We had a few. Old fashioned with local bourbon and a margarita with a twist. We also had some food and it was pretty good. The decorations was amazing.

Absolutely amazing experience. The service was phenomenal, the staff was knowledgeable and so eager to help walk us through their cocktail book (aka menu! Beautiful ambiance, elegant, yet not at all pretentious. The cocktails were unique and crafted with great care and passion. They also offer an extensive list of unique spirits, especially absinthe (which was a first for me! I highly, highly recommend!!! View menu

Always a wonderful evening at this establishment. The culinary and cocktail creations are some if the best in Lexington Ky. That is why I feature them on my website for Ky travel called Staykentucky.com I can be assured that if I give a recommendation my followers will always have a great experience here. Some of the most unique mixed drinks and delectable seasonal eats. The meal and cocktail menus change. What fun!

cocktails are delicious and impressive to see them. we sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly and helpful. there is old fashion is delicious. I also enjoyed the hickory sour. we had the Pickle court that was in order. if they love pickles, they will enjoy it. but the baked brie was brilliant and the hangar steak on knochenmark and kartoffeln was delicious. I highly recommend this place. oh and do not forget them dessert. the lemon cake was amazing.

for a really curated, fine liberation this is the place. eating is wonderful. but the seasonal cocktails are the real stars of this facility. there are of course some clips. but every year this restaurant produces a drink menu like a high-end coffee table book. these menus illustrate every drink, with full colour photos and even a glamour for the more common and less known ingredients. to eat or just drink, they can spend their entire night here. either they are in the thick of all in the inner city hectic and hard for easy access to what lexington has to offer. visit them from the city and look at the reviews for west main. her speciality is ready cocktails. I am not a drinker, but my friends were very impressed by the quality and price of these drinks. eating was the star of the evening, though the menu is limited, there is something for everyone. all our meals were excellent and not overpriced again. the restaurant/bar is noisy when lärm is a problem for her. we did not find it distracting. abby, our server, was top notch. there are a lot of seating, hallo top community seats, bar seats and couches. unfortunately there are no seats in the open. we highly recommend this place.

This is a very strong selection for a dinner and for drinks. The waitstaff were very friendly and willing to help with the menu items. The drinks and craft cocktails were very well prepared. I would say this is more of a bar then restaurant and better to have drinks. The menu is good, but the items a wee bit expensive. That being said the food was very good. Again the bar selection was impressive. They make their own bitters and the bar has a true mixologist. The drinks are delicious and unique. They were also very friendly in explaining the drinks and why they made them with the particular mixes to get the right tastes. The seating area was clean and had a welcoming atmosphere. The booths w...

"Update 8.20.22: One of the managers from Malones called me after reading my two-star review. He was courteous and apologized for our recent visit (read below . I wanted to update my review with FIVE stars. An establishment that cares for their customers deserves a pass now and then. We will be back. I’ve added some photos of some of our visits over the years along with the letter from corporate. Good job, Malones! Original review: First, let me start by saying we’ve been fans of Malone’s for over twenty years, and with four children, we’ve always counted it as a splurge, but Malone’s is their favorite restaurant to celebrate birthdays. We are always pleased with their exceptional service, every table having several waiters to help, and even the manager stopping by your table to check if you had a great experience. Last night, (8.13.22 our daughter was turning 21 and like usual, Malone’s was her choice, talking about it for weeks and planning what she would order. When our dinners arrived I was immediately surprised at how poorly plated my daughters twin filets looked. They were slapped on a plate, not cleaned up — gravy spread all over — making it look like it came straight from a frozen food box. Normally, we take photos of our choices but I didn’t even bother since her plate looked so unappetizing. Also, she ordered a baked potato that arrived on a separate plate, making it very awkward, switching from one large plate to another and so on. I was so sad for her. I’m not sure exactly what happened last night but it wasn’t what we expected AT ALL. Other issues — my husbands beer arrived midway through his meal, the birthday cookie dessert was melted (since the waiter set it on the hostess desk while he served water and bread to another table . We told him NUMEROUS times that we were NOT in a hurry so there was little need for him to bring the dessert with another tables drinks… it made no sense . Speaking of the waiter—despite the several snafus, we tipped correctly (20% , because we know hospitality is a difficult job, especially on a busy Friday evening. Having said that, he wore a larger mask, making it difficult to hear him in the loud dining area. He also wore kitchen food-grade gloves (the noisy, uncomfortable ones , and honestly, neither of those things bothered us. The issue was watching him fumble while wearing the gloves, pulling an open soy sauce bottle straight from his apron pocket — really? I declined the sauce. If he was so worried about germs, having the open bottle in his pocket is a red flag that being sanitary was not his main goal. The whole thing was just odd. If you’re going to wear a mask and gloves—fine—but choose a job in the restaurant where you aren’t expected to be heard or understood. The best part tho, I’m kidding, was going to the ladies room to find NO toilet paper —NONE—in either stall, and having to use the only two remaining seat covers as a waste paper. C’mon? The floors were wet and I’ve already broken a hip in my life so that was frustrating getting out of there. Was the food good, aside from the steak, yes, it was. Will we be back? I don’t think we will for a celebration. Which is sad. I hope this location can give us a better experience if we return. We were all just disappointed, and the manager would have known had they simply stopped by our table and asked. You know, like they usually do."
