This is a really trendy spot, though it can be a bit loud. The Bloody Mary is exceptional. Definitely try the pastrami hash—it's amazing!

The best medium rare burger with pepper jam jelly! But the passion fruit bombe and affagato desserts are highly recommended for your taste budding pleasure!!

I enjoyed the atmosphere very much. The food was delicious and so were the drinks. It was a busy Sunday afternoon but our server was still attentive. I will be coming back!

Awesome experience! Our waiter was ridiculously knowledgeable of the menu and steered us in the right direction. We had the ribeye steak and it was one of the best steaks we ever had. It beat any of the high end steakhouses you all know. Can not wait to go back!

excellent service! We went there before a show in the 'gym ' and the waiter took this into consideration as he served us. Since many people arrived at the same time there was a little delay (but nothing to make us late for the show) in our food and the waiter brought by a small appetizer. Next time we 'll have to go without the pressure of time so that we can try out the desserts too. View menu

The highlights of my experience were the ribeye, Brussels sprouts, mac and cheese, steak sauces, cocktails, dessert (the passion fruit bombe), and perhaps the best service I've ever had. I had an absolutely amazing dinner at Whitfield. At first glance, the steak seemed a bit pricey, but given the generous portion size and exceptional quality, it's definitely worth every penny. Be sure to bring a friend!

Ate here last night for a late dinner after an awful day. We were traveling through Pittsburgh on our way to Detroit for a funeral service from D.C. We'd spent all day at the airport in DC and sat through hours of delays until our flight was ultimately canceled. All buses and trains were booked, so driving was our only option. We were exhausted and stopped in PGH for a meal and to rest. Everyone at Whitfield was so friendly and just plain nice...the meal was also fantastic. I don't think they realized how much we really needed a nice ending to the day, but it was great.

The appetizers were enjoyable. I had the short ribs paired with a ricotta pancake, which I think could use an additional pancake since the short rib portion was quite generous. My son ordered the jelly toast, which was delicious, while my husband tried the duck mousse. I thought it was just okay, but he really liked it. For our main courses, my husband and I both chose the duck, which was flavorful, although I felt my serving was significantly smaller than his. My son had the bass and thoroughly enjoyed it. Overall, it was a lovely dinner. The drinks were also good, and the service was attentive, contributing to a nice atmosphere. View menu
