"Underwhelming. That is the one word that came to our mind when we tried Wink. It was my wife’s bday and I decided to take Open Table’s recommendation. Big mistake. Even through the service was great, it can only go as far if the food is sub-standard. Even though the ingredients sounded great on paper, whoever was the chef putting it together has no freakin clue what they were doing. I mean, I could have put a better dish together. We opted for the seven course meal. The fish (Mahi Mahi) was not fresh. The strip steak and the duck breast was completely raw and not seasoned at all. We started with some random salad which looked like something I would get in a middle school cafeteria. If you are charging me 150 bucks per person. The least I can expect is fresh food. We could not even eat the two final entree courses (duck and Steak) and just sent it back. The service was however great. They even took the last two entrees off our bill. But this was supposed to be a special night and not about the money. I don’t think we are going back again to Wink."

Always love Wink and being one of the few places in Austin you can bring your own wine. Food and service wonderful as usual.

We had the 5 course menu with wine pairings. Everything was fantastic and the wine pairings were superb! Service was excellent. We were there for our anniversary and they made it very special.

Delightful! Everything was fabulous, the food and the service. Each dish had complex flavors and were beautifully presented but without a hint of stuffiness. This place is really a little gem. View menu

We all ordered the 5-course tasting menu paired with wine. I ordered the pescatarian version of the tasting menu. All of the food was delicious and paired perfectly with the wine. Our waiter, Austin, was very knowledgeable about the wine and the food, and was an attentive server.

Love the ambience and the location. The service is absolutely spot on. Great wine list. Server was very knowledgable about the wines and his service was excellent. We ordered the sashimi appetizer and it was too fishy to eat. My wife enjoyed her curry cod. I did not enjoy my scallops. Desert was very good. We first went to Wink back in 2001, but we do not go there often. I just wish the food was better. We’d go there all the time if it was.

"I literally just made a review but I’m going to make another one because for whatever reason someone or somehow it got deleted. I used to be a regular at Bouldin and the service was always amazing but my last two visits have been by far horrible. The service has been so poor that I felt disgusted when leaving the restaurant. There are two girls that work there with light brown hair and blue eyes. Pretty sure one of their names is Rego. My boyfriend and I were served by her before and she seemed nothing but annoyed and couldn’t care less if we were in her section. Barley even interacted with us or asked how our meal was and just seemed disgusted by us, just being rude passive aggressive for no reason at all. I’m a server and I KNOW this isn’t how you treat your guests and the same thing happened tonight. She just seemed like she couldn’t care less if we were there and just seemed annoyed? I don’t mind paying the gratuity if I’m being treated decently but that wasn’t the case and I feel as though they feel like they think they can get away with behaving like mean girls just because there’s a gratuity. I have friends that dine here as well and they have had the same experience. I’m not one to write reviews but I feel this needs to come across a managers attention so they know who they are hiring and how they are treating customers. Really disgusted and disappointing and if this gets deleted again I’ll write another review or just call the store to speak to a manager. Disgusted by their behavior."
