"The food was OK. Although the burger is a basic average burger. Idk where they got best burger 2016 , I guess those were different times. But what soured me about this place was not the food, or the super long wait times, or even the fact that the steak dish we ordered came was raw and uncooked and we had to send it back (which I feel terrible doing). What soured me was their surge pricing model. Call it surge pricing, or price gouging.. the lunch menu lists the burger for $11, while the brunch menu lists it for $19. So I asked what 's the difference between the burger on the lunch menu versus brunch , and the server said none . So of course I asked any additional sides or anything and they responded again no they 're the same . But since they don 't offer the lunch burger menu before 5pm, I agreed to get the higher priced brunch burger. But I asked if they could do the Swiss bacon burger instead (which is $13 on the lunch menu), but the server refused and said I 'd have to pay the additional fees to upgrade from American cheese to Swiss, and to add bacon. So I was up-charged to $24, for the same burger that will cost $11 less, only 1.5 hours later. Yeah it 's a basic mediocre $10 burger (which is close to the price they usually charge), but def not a $24 burger. What a disappointing experience."

Food wasn’t where we needed it to be. Mushroom risotto should have been called cilantro risotto…..

This place is a hidden gem. Food quality on par with the best French brunch in the city but totally reasonable prices in a casual atmosphere. Amazing find!

We had thought they had brunch during the week but that was our mistake so we both ordered the crabcake but it was really small and it was very good but we honestly didn’t feel it was worth what we paid for it View menu

I cost the meal and also our children. the food was delicious and the service was great. the atmosphere is very casual and quarterly, which was exactly what we wanted. great food, but not too nice for children. have loved all the strength!

David’s Cafe did not honor our reservation and we had to wait for 20 minutes. Then they finally sat us at a table outside and did not take our order or serve us water for 10 minutes. When I finally flagged the host, he severed us water and asked us if we wouldn’t mind moving to another table outside. We said yes and then they completely forgot about us. So we walked out 45 minutes later with no brunch. Will not be returning.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
