"Let me start out by saying our server was great. She was nice, personable, and attentive. Now, let's get to the food. I had a basic breakfast. Something that was pretty difficult to mess up eggs, sausage, potatoes, and pancakes. Yet, my potatoes were half cooked (as in, they still had a little crunch to them). Everyone at my table reported the same issue. The pork sausage was dry. I've never had a dry pork sausage before today. I ended up getting bacon as a replacement. It was nice and meaty. We did let the server know about the potatoes as we were about to leave. I think the cook(s) need to be retrained (because I don't care to see anyone lose their job). I LOVE breakfast food, but this Yolk location was a miss for me."

I do not recommend the cinnamon roll. Dry and basically a muffin with a little icing on it

The banana bread french toast was to die for! Service was friendly and we got seated quickly.

The breakfast was excellent. I had the pancakes along with hash browns and grits, and they were fantastic. The juice was also enjoyable. I will definitely come back again!

The food was prepared fresh, arriving hot and tasty. Krystal was very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend the corned beef hash and eggs. While I personally prefer shredded potatoes over diced, the diced ones were cooked perfectly and well-seasoned.

Gave this place 3 tries to make my final conclusion. Staff is so friendly and thoughtful, however the quality and prices are HORRIBLE. I’ve tried a different meal every time I went and there was hardly any flavor, potatoes always undercooked(hard as a rock) and let alone 20-25 bucks for some eggs with soggy bread. Sad. I hope they get better. View menu

I'm originally from the 757 (Norfolk VA) and have heard so many wonderful reviews about this restaurant, but to experience it here in Chicago and on my birthday 4/15, was absolutely amazing. The food was delicious, the waitress was so nice and attentive, the service was beyond a 10+ I would recommend this location to anyone looking to have a delicious breakfast or brunch. 10s across the board!!!

The server was very nice, but I requested that the pancakes be served last, and unfortunately, they arrived first along with everything else. The Graham crackers on the pancakes were stale, and the potatoes seemed like they had been frozen and weren't fully heated or cooked. The eggs benedict were just average—nothing to write home about. This was my first visit to this location, and I was really looking forward to it, but I left feeling disappointed. I expected the food to be better, especially since my friend and I were the only customers there.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
