"Update: I normally do not reply to responses, but I want to make it clear that my group did not stop in for free entertainment. We didn’t notice the $30 minimum sign until after we had ordered, but we did in fact purchase food items. And I am certain that the couple that we were with did meet the required threshold. We understand that business is business, but in all actuality, this situation was handled very poorly. I’ve never been asked to get up and sit outside of an establishment in which I was a paying patron until tonight. This was my second time visiting with my husband and another couple. We enjoyed ourselves so much the first time that we decided to come back for another lively night of live music, but the experience we had tonight made us all feel very uncomfortable. We understand that this is a very high demand spot and reservations are recommended, but our original plans fell through so we decided to give cafe centro a try. The Hostess right away let us know that all of the tables were reserved but let us know that the bar was free and was first come first served. We aren’t big drinkers so we originally did not want to be seated at the bar, but we figured a seat at the bar was better than not being able to sit at all. Before sitting at the bar, we asked her to put us down in case a table became available. From my understanding, once we were seated, we were free to enjoy the entertainment for as long as we desired, but a couple of hours into the live show, the same hostess came and let us know that a table never became available but asked that we give up our seats at the bar and go outside to continue observing the show in order to make room for other patrons. This would normally have not been an issue, but the first time we visited, we observed the patrons at the bar enjoying themselves the entire evening, never being asked to leave. So we were caught off guard by her request and found it somewhat inappropriate. We eventually left, but it left a poor taste and we don’t plan to return."

"I'd been wanting to go this restaurant since I saw it couple years ago. It's not one you would see on the street, I happened to be in that shopping center. It was crowded, people having fun, well lit. Almost of reviews. I had opportunity go the other night, and they take reservations although we waited about mins and no one in line no prob. People weren't getting up so I guess they liked it here. We wanted steak so ordered one of the large platters for but really could share. You get one side we got sauteed vegetables that were soggy and steamed not what I called sauteed and ordered a of garlic parsley fries. Sounded like ones I had else wear. These cold and soggy. Extra sides for tiny bit. Grill warm hard overcooked food, like it was heated up, sent completely different. Sizzling grill and smoking. Meat shrimp sizzling obviously fresh cooked this time, only thing short rib(flanken) was thin and tough again, other thick and tender flavorful. Steak perfect as before, flavorful and tender med,/rare. Chicken hot flavorful Shrimp good and different from platter. I thought manager was going to kick us, something wrong with everything but the Steak. Ok, we only want the steak med/rare can't do not in platters.ok we"ll have the steak med/rare brought us huge piece of skirt steak, perfectly cooked and left the platter, said this is way we eat. I know we were a pain to them, it worked out fine, server and manager in the end very accommodating. I'm not sure I would go back not sure if I like real Argentine food except the steak with with baked potato if they have and a lot of the chimichurri sauce thats on the table with the pico de gallo which is great. That's just us, people around us seemed to enjoy everything especially the empanadas and salads. The portions are huge. If I were to go back I'd get the empanadas which seemed to be on many tables and the salad with the steak. I'm basing this review strictly on our experience"

"First, I want to say this review is LONG overdue. Second, I want to say that a few years ago, I realized that eating beef or pork typically causes me severe intestinal distress, so I very rarely eat either. And lastly, it?s imperative to say that I am perhaps the pickiest eater on the planet. My adult sons tell me my food palate is that of a toddler ? I won?t eat, or even try most foods, including eggs, seafood, fish, or foods that look weird or have mushy textures (like mushrooms or tofu), in addition to a litany of other foods, so if I write a positive food review, rest assured, the restaurant, and food, was phenomenal. Months ago, I was invited to Los Angeles, with my friend of more than thirty years, Martha. On our first evening, we went to eat at Buenos Aires Grill with her aunt, uncle, mom, and cousins ? in total, we were a party of seven. All of the food ordered was shared, family style. Since I had heard so much about the restaurant, I knew I wanted to try everything ? and clearly, I (almost) did. Since Martha had eaten there before, and she knows my likes and dislikes, I requested she place the order on my behalf. We started with the empanadas. OH, MY GAWD? THESE empanadas are the ABSOLUTE BEST I have EVER eaten ? EVER? E.V.E.R. and I have lived in Cuba, México, and Spain? The empanadas are sheer PERFECTION? they APPEAR to be fake ? they are absolutely flawlessly shaped and baked? their crust is neither too thin nor too thick. The filling was drool inducing and I, honestly, genuinely, doubted the taste could be improved, but once I topped the empanada with the chimichurri, if I would have died, in that moment, I would have rested in peace as the happiest human on Earth. She also ordered both the Quesos Fundido and Provoleta and the Chimichurri and (French) Bread (baguette) ? I LOVE CHEESE, and French bread, but, once again, I am PICKY ? and skeptical of new foods. Both the cheeses caused my salivary glands to go into elated overdrive. The union of cheese, chimichurri, and the baguette? TO DIE FOR. I don?t know if Martha ordered the Manolo or Buenos Aires Parrilla, but I ate a bite, or two, of each and every single one of the elements. Despite having lived in Texas since 1990, and as an individual who has eaten countless steaks, ribs, sausages, and chorizo, I have never eaten more deliciously seasoned, epically prepared, and perfectly grilled bites of beef and pork. In addition to the meat, the parrillas were accompanied by mashed potatoes, French fries, Spanish rice, and sautéed vegetables. HOLY MOLY ? each side was mouthwatering, scrumptious, delightful. Fearing I would not want to eat the meat, based on the aforementioned explanation, Martha also ordered the Spinach Cheese Ravioli and the Chicken Alfredo? I have eaten A LOT of pasta dishes in my day? I was raised to believe I was 50% Italian (thanks to 23andMe, I now know that is false). In any case, I?m confident t"

"**Quality:** The food was solid, and the drinks were delightful. I sampled two margaritas: the Spicy Mango Margarita and the Habanero Cucumber Margarita. Both were enjoyable, but the Habanero Cucumber Margarita offered a particularly unique and delicious flavor combination. For appetizers, the Steak Nachos were fantastic; I appreciated how they were layered to ensure every bite was packed with flavor. The Carnitas Burrito was okay, but it was the least impressive dish as it was a bit bland. On the other hand, the Camarones Tacos were outstanding, especially with the refreshing mango salsa. **Quantity:** The portions were generous, and the drinks were strong. **Value:** The prices were reasonable, with cocktails ranging from $12 to $15, the Steak Nachos at $17, the Carnitas Burrito at $14, and the Camarones Tacos at $12. **Ambiance:** Mexico Authentico is situated in Park Slope, featuring a small outdoor patio that is charmingly decorated and a cozy indoor dining area. Tables line the left wall, while a small bar is on the right. The walls are adorned with vibrant decorations, and lively Spanish music plays in the background. A large television is positioned toward the back but was off during our visit. **Crowd:** It was bustling for a Friday night, likely influenced by the rain, which kept many locals nearby, searching for a spot to enjoy a drink. **Service:** The staff was friendly and accommodating. **Parking:** Be aware that parking is limited in this residential area."
