"When you first walk in everything is beautifully laid out and everything looks Devine! However, once we were inside it was very hard to get service and the staffs attitude was poor. The guy helping us seemed annoyed with the couple of simple questions I had and simply ignored the compliment I gave. We ordered several different cake slices, cheesecake bars, peris brest, and a sticky bun.CAKES:The cakes all had a very very mild flavor. The oreo had 2 layers of chocolate cake and a vanilla in between. The chocolate cake was hardly chocolate tasting at all but the texture was nice. The chocolate cake in the oreo cake honestly tasted like a box cake mix but even those have more chocolate flavor...The buttercream they have is excellent.The lemon cake, same thing. It was almost like the cake was a simple vanilla and the buttcream that went along with it had a beautiful texture but you could hardly taste any lemon.The peanut butter cake was very dry and almost stale. But the buttercream was well flavored with a reeses flavor and had nice texture to it. We just ended up scraping the frosting off to use with pretzels later.CHEESECAKE:The oreo and chocolate Cheesecake were some of the best cheesecakes we have ever had! Very dense but creamy and well blended flavors throughout the Cheesecake bars. Very rich NY style with lovely crusts. We will definitely keep coming for those!PERIS BREST:The peris brest was just not good. First off, it should not be called a peris brest it is more of a giant filled cream puff. Every part of it was bad to me. The pâte à choux dough seems overworked because it was very very tough. The pastry cream inside was too thick and dense. The sliced strawberries were on their last leg and hardly ok to serve. The Whipped cream was over Whipped and had a lumpy and gross texture with no sweetness to it. We just threw it out after failing to find some type of redeeming quality about it.STICKY BUNOh my goodness! I highly recommend buying like 12 of these because they are phenomenal! They have used what I believe to be a puff pastry type dough and was beautifully glazed and sticky. The chew factor on the sticky sweet outside was just what I was craving and will be getting more in the future!Bottom line some things are done extremely well while other treats are lacking. To summarize, if you are looking for an intense flavor in your cake, this isn't the place. But if frosting is your thing then you're in the right place. Everything is beautifully decorated and delicious to the eyes but just simply lacks flavor to back it up."

"For a first time experience, it wasn’t as expected. (7/18 after 7pm) only seen two other families order during tour visit)First off, walking in you’re not greeted as expected in any establishment. Then, we were told “I think the lab is backed up” but we didn’t tell them whether we were here for that or if we were just ordering to go. We get to the back where you would then think, based on the secret door and walk back, that this experience is about to be the best thing ever. We get to the back and the music was extremely loud and there wasn’t any direction as to how to order. One thing I hate is going somewhere new and feeling lost. After finally figuring out what to do (again no proper greetings or signage) and ordering, we sit down. No one was friendly and the lady making the shakes had EarPods on the entire time and when she wasn’t busy she was behind the “bar” sitting on a crate on her phone. And when we first arrived she looked at us like we were nothing from this galaxy and the same with the man behind the ordering station. They didn’t even clean the tables once people left during downtime. This was alarming.I get the concept of this experience but it wasn’t as expected. If you tell me I’m going to a cookie lab I would honestly think I would be able to create my own cookies or shakes for a true experience.Now for the treats, we had the galaxy and what ever they put on the outside of the cup wasn’t pleasant and had a chemical and bitter taste. The shakes were okay. Additionally, ordered a brownie and that was basic.Can say I tried it but will I return……no. Customer service was terrible and the treats were mediocre. Proceed at your own risk!"

"Stopped by here last night on our way home. I bought a box of twelve regular cookies. They tasted okay when they were warm but, once they cooled down they tasted kinda funny. That 's not even the bad part though.... When we walked in we weren 't greeted, we weren 't asked if we needed help, not a word. Went up to the cash register for a young lady to say do you know what you want? ... I told her my order and another packed the cookies the lady boxing the cookies was much nicer than this younger cashier). She rang it up and just stood there. Didn 't tell me a total or anything. I waited and finally asked her if the card machine was ready and in stead of verbally replying she did like a half-nod type thing. "Went in for an interview and was super excited. As soon as I walked in, one lady was super rushy. I waited a little more than 20 minutes after the time I was supposed to be there , not including the 10 minutes early I was. Just for the boss to look me up and down and tell me I was dirty. Not only was he late, but he was so rude to me. Not everyone can be in perfect condition when they have an infant. Staff also has no respect for customers in the lobby. They were talking about everyone and cussing every other word. They will never get my business. It?s so sad. Because I was so excited. Oh well. One driver was super sweet, he shouldn?t be there. He deserves better."

"Wow! These folks are absolute geniuses when it comes to dessert marketing! They’re open until 3 AM and offer delivery! We had the large cookie ice cream sandwich topped with Chocolate S'mores, a Chocolate Chunk Peanut Butter bottom, and Cookies and Cream ice cream... It’s around 1,400 calories, but since we walked here, we felt no guilt (lol). Honestly, five stars doesn’t even do it justice—this place is fantastic! "I ordered cookies yesterday to be delivered at 5 pm on Valentine’s Day. It is 8pm and no delivery, no contact. When I called the store they have an automated message that says their customer service is closed and to email my comments an they should get back to me in 24 hours?! Seriously? "I sent my son cookies a few times in Jefferson Hall. I'm in Columbus and it's just a way to say I think of him ...Insomnia makes it feel like it's such a small city with its fabulous personal customer service and fast delivery. They promise that they will keep and the cookies are warm and tasty and I will always get a message from my son thank me for the special treat. When I gave an order today, I forgot to put my son's phone number on the order, and someone even called me to check that they had it, so that they could find him if he wasn't in bed and let him know they're coming! "AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. ZERO STARS. Don't expect to receive what you actually ordered, and don't count on them to make it right. I never got the full quart of ice cream I wanted; instead, I received four disappointing scoops in a quart-sized container. After a frustrating back-and-forth with a snarky employee who wouldn’t let me speak to a manager and put me on hold for 10 minutes, I was only given a refund. I reached out to their third-party customer service, and they offered me a link for three free cookies as an apology. However, the catch is that I need to place a minimum online order of $6, plus taxes, delivery charges, and tips, which adds up to another $10 just to claim my free cookies. What they don't seem to get is that I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM INSOMNIA AGAIN. I've heard that Campus Cookies is much better, so I’ll be trying them instead."

"7.4.23 after the fireworks ended at Old Sac, we walked towards Golden 1 arena where I saw this cookie spot after walking pass Macy's. I was curious, for one their open late and for two, the title of their cookie store. I had no idea what they provided. I was a deer in the headlight, without even looking up this place on YELP for background history for those who have already visited.... they have a QR code in the front of their entrance where it provides store hours. The store is small. They only let 1 group in at a time so U have to line up outside. Once in, U see a little selection of ice cream, a menu above, a fridge full of different kinds of milk/chocolate milk near the doorway... I decided to order individual cookies instead of a pack. The vegan cookies are actually really good to me. Not super sweet. Please see my photos for reference. Overall it wasn't a bad place to experience for 1st impression. I think it wasn't the greatest. I haven't experienced much coming here but upon 1st impression, I'd say it's mid.... their Peanut Butter Insomniac Tracks ice cream is good tho cookies was 3.5 out of 5. I'm glad the dairy part of the ice cream didn't bother my stomach tho!"

"Don?t ever ever ever EVER try to get these cookies delivered. When they first opened it took 2-3 HOURS to get your delivery. I thought maybe since they?ve been open for a while now, that they?ve worked out the kinks. Nope. Took 2.5 hours. I could make my own cookies from scratch and deliver them to Pennsylvania in that amount of time. I understand the world is experiencing a staffing shortage. But good grief. "Typically, I truly enjoy insomnia cookies. My boyfriend and I do date night almost every Saturday and usually finish the night at this establishment. HOWEVER, that will change after this evening. When looking at the menu while waiting in line I wasexcited to try their salted carmel cookie. This excitement was quickly squashed by the child that was at the cash registertaking my order. I have a SEVERE allergy to certain nuts. The salted carmel cookie said that it contains tree nuts. Some placeswill add this for ingredients like coconut, of which I am not allergic to. I ask the person what tree nuts are in this cookie .She graciously goes to the back to check the ingredients for me. A child quickly emerges out of the depths of the back room witha hickey the size of her fist on her neck to say it just says it contains tree nuts . I proceed to ask her if I can see theingredients list to check and see if any of my allergens are on the list. She quickly asks me well how severe is your allergy .I proceed to tell her it is severe and if I could still see the ingredients list. She continues to fight me about the ways inwhich they contain nuts. I finally give up and succumb to ordering a ever-so-basic chocolate chunk cookie. I am a huge fan ofthe quality of insomnia cookies, however, please train your employees better on how to treat people with allergies and act withthe basic level of professionalism expected in a workplace.
