"The prices are misleading. 50g of pasta for 25 is not but . The hostesses at the door were so snooty that when they saw that I was wearing jeans unlike the rest of the clientele there, they gave me “the look” and “the nose”. The waiters were professional but you could tell the personnel were “selective” in who they were going to treat nicely and who not. The place is extremely loud and it’s hard to have a conversation, which was the main reason for me and my party to meet dinner and a conversation. We had a 7:30 commitment so our waiter made sure to get us out before 7:15. That and the fact that he picked me a good wine is the only reason I tipped him well (30% . Overall it was not a good experience because I had picked the place and felt guilty for picking it since everyone in my party left hungry and feeling crappy because of the snooty treatment. I will not go back."

"Exceptional food in an authentic, non-demanding environment. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful, which added to the great experience. For bread lovers, there are 3 different breads, all of which are made there and are all wonderful. I stop on the way out of town to get bread and take it home to friends. My salad was fabulous and the vodka chicken pasta (a specialty) was cooked perfectly with a wonderful sauce. The specials change with the seasons. Desserts are all made there and everyone looked great. We share the ice cream on Sunday with homemade caramelized marshmallows and chocolate ganache. It was wonderful. You can share it with 4 people as it is very large. We will definitely have dinner here again when we return to Mayo and Golf."

"We had brunch for our Anniversary. We made reservations for Sunday Brunch, the restaurant was not crowded at all (it was about noon) and the hostess did not even open her reservation list. We were seated immediately. We sat outside and it was a very nice fall day, so the ambiance was most pleasant. The wait service leaned towards the mediocre. The menus were shopworn; they need to reprint the menus which were not complicated, just print on heavy stock paper. We asked for some simple items like butter for our grits which was acknowledged but never appeared. Overall, the staff seemed not to have enthusiasm for their jobs. Our drinks were so-so for a specialty bar, remembering these things are subjective, I would rate them OK. The food was good, not exceptional, but good. AVO has hands down the best grits in town, our experience is that they are consistent with the quality and presentation of their grits. Grits may not be your favorite staple. The eggs were served as ordered, but could have been a lot better. No butter for toast or biscuits, inattentive service on that. I think that this restaurant needs an infusion of enthusiasm. It could be so much better."

"This was wonderful experience from top to bottom, I am in the middle of a unexpected travel stop and am in normal clothes, I wasn't made to feel shabby or underdressed at this fine establishment. I thoroughly enjoy the wait staff, they were experienced, well spoken and very well versed in pairing and their traditional menu. They have a excellent alchohol selection ranging from decently priced to extravagant. Alot of great whiskey pairing choices for their steaks in my humble opinion. The Bistecca alla Florentina was beautifully cooked and perfectly seasoned. It was prepped exactly as I requested and that was appreciated. The accoutrements were very delicious and flavorful as well, the homeade bread and fresh butter with fresh tapenade was a exquisite way to start the meal. Overall this is was a great dining experience in a beautifully understated restaurant."

"Hello, I’ll start by saying this, we were seated promptly we had bread and water promptly. That’s the good. We had to ask three different servers for butter and plates. We did not have the typical dinner memo or the New Years menu, instead we had the lunch menus on our table. We asked for a dinner menu and received the New Years menu. Why weren’t we offer the typical dinner menu? We proceeded to order two appetizers which we only received one. Server never wrote other appetizer down. We were given three meatballs due to the long wait for the entree’s. As were about to enjoy them, the waiter quickly removed them off the table and said they weren’t for us and removed them. We ordered from the New Years menu as we were not even asked if we wanted the typical dinner menu. Entree’s were mediocre at best, I never ordered onion straws but they came with our entree’s The manger never walked around to ask how everything was. The server then proceeded to tell us his life story for the remainder of our night. Waiter asked if we were ready for dessert when we hadn’t ate half our dinner. We decided not to order dessert. The waiter then took it on his own to bring us two small chocolate balls with cinnamon coating and to top it off, the waiter brought us a to go container of peanut butter. This was by far the worst New Years dinner we have ever had. I personally do not think this restaurant was ready for this type of evening. All the wait staff seems to be running around and not getting any properly done. Obviously we will not return. I just hope no one else ever has to endure this type of experience at this restaurant.."

"We had a wonderful time. Upon arrival, our temperatures were checked and hands sprayed with sanitizer by a nice warm staff member to address covid-19 precautions. The food was great and we ended up overeating, because we tried to sample different types of food. The service was amazing; Maria S. And her helper did a great job taking care of us. We really liked the burrattta appetizer and the lemon caper sauce on halibut. We will be back!"

"I went with a group for a birthday. It was the worst service any of us had ever experienced. Our waiter only took a couple of drink orders and then left for more than 20 minutes before we checked in to take the rest of the table order. For the food we had to tell him that we had to order. Then he took 4 orders, went away and didn't come back. When we got him to come back after telling several other workers we needed to complete the order, he forgot that he had taken the first orders. He finally took a few more orders and left so as not to reach every person at the table again. It took 2 hours in total and the food came out at all different times. We were all honestly very confused about what was happening throughout our dinner."

"A classic, down home Italian experience. I enjoy FJL I’ve been coming here since I was a kid, and they always have really good quality tasting food and attentive service. The decor is very classic, but it also has not been updated since the last time I came here about 6 or 7 years ago and neither has the menu. I will say they keep it clean and nice and intimate, but there’s also wasn’t any music playing while we were there which lends to a little bit of an awkward environment when being so close to other tables. I would also remark that while the food is good, it is certainly overpriced."

"We were three adults with two (nicely dressed and well mannered) kids at 5 in the evening on a Sunday. The restaurant was 1/2 empty and the rude hostess shoved us at a tall bar table in between a service station and the kitchen door. After asking someone other than the hostess were moved to a regular table. The waitstaff was either overwhelmed or just terribly trained. Service took forever, orders were wrong, and the music was unnecessarily loud. BBQ brisket tasted like it was pounded with a mallet and soaked in liquid smoke. The one good thing I can say about this place is that the onion rings were incredible."

"I am not a big Italian fan, but my friends like the cuisine, so I went here. The food is not to my liking, but that's because I am not a fan of this cuisine. However, I can tell that I ate Italian food at my friends place that cooks good Italian food and that tasted much better than this place, so, I am only giving this place a 3 star. I am guessing that this is more like Americanized Italian, where all the tastes are dulled down. I like food that challenges my taste buds. The staff was friendly, but note that the ambiance is kind of dark themed with low lighting. The soup was excellent and I would strongly recommend it. Vegetarian options: There are decent vegetarian options. They can also customize most dishes to make them vegetarian."

"Have been here several times but this time it was way off. Our server was excellent but the bread was stale and just received 4 small pieces. The Caesar salad was very mediocre and the chicken Parmesan was rubbery. I guess all restaurants have an off night but it is usually Monday not Saturday. I would think the same executive who runs the kitchen at NYY which is one of the most excellent restaurants in South Florida would oversee this operation also. I probably will not be back for a long time as we have too many excellent Italian restaurants in our area. My Linguini and clams was excellent as well as the dessert."

"I always enjoy dining at Il Mulino. For my girlfriend's 75th birthday, I decided to take her out for lunch at this restaurant for the first time. The atmosphere and service were excellent as usual. I savored every bite of my delicious salmon, and the chocolate cake I took home was devoured in five minutes once I got back. It was simply irresistible! Unfortunately, the wait staff failed to acknowledge my girlfriend's special occasion, despite me mentioning it when I arrived and including it in my reservation. The waiter apologized for the oversight, acknowledging that special attention to customers makes them feel appreciated and eager to return. In the past, I have always felt special at Il Mulino and I wanted my girlfriend to have the same experience."

"When the reviews said service and food were bad I should have listened. We were the only ones in the restaurant at 5 pm (clue) and it still took forever to get waited on. The Berry mule was good but there were no beers on tap as the cooler was broken. The crispy Brussels sprouts were soggy and overdone; my skirt steak tacos were in cubes, drowned in BBQ sauce and no cheese; the blackened shrimp tacos didn't have the aioli sauce. My husband asked if he could substitute Mac and cheese for the fries and he was told yes but charged $4 and it was cold and watery. My fries came late but were the best thing about the meal. As locals it was very disappointing when we were looking for something near the show we were seeing."

"Always enjoy this mini chain in NYC for the current menu with tasty choices I had the peri peri chicken this time and the always buzzy atmosphere. "I didn’t think it was possible to get a bad meal in Vegas but this place proved me wrong. First of all the menu is different from what’s posted on open table. When you get there you will discover a very basic menu reminiscent of a strip mall Italian restaurant run by people who have no idea of what Italian food tastes like. If you ask for cheese, you get Kraft cheese or something similar. The pasta is not fresh, and the sauce tastes like the jar sauce I had as a student. Even the drinks are terrible. However the pricing is in line with high end Vegas. A complete rip off. You are better off going to the food court and getting fast food. At least then you won’t be paying a fortune for ****"

"Had an absolutely amazing experience! The staff is so kind, and one word describes the amazing food: delectable! Everything was perfectly seasoned, perfectly done and was mouthwatering! It is reservation only, busy on a Monday, when you get seated they give you mini samples along with the bread and olive oil dip. The calamari was amazing, crispy and sweet. It melted in your mouth, so heavenly and perfect. I got the stuffed flounder with veggies, it was beyond delicious. Even taking it home to reheat it was amazing! I highly recommend! The sauce was almost like lobster bisque and it was, mmm chefs kiss. High high compliments to the chef and to the amazing staff! My boyfriend got the steak with shrimp and veggies as well, cooked to perfection and was absolutely Devine. Beyond amazing experience and will definitely be making more reservations in the future."

"Went for Downtown Dining Week. This restaurant was on the $35 list, however service was significantly below that level. There was a long wait between courses, but plates were not cleared off the table until the next course arrived. Our server appeared very disinterested in our table. It also took a long time for drink orders to be delivered. New silverware was not provided and I was explicitly asked to remove my fork from the plate so the server could clear the plate. The food was decent to good, but nothing special. None of these issues would be that bad had they not all occurred or had the restaurant been on the $25 list instead."
