"We arrived for our reservation on time, but there was no table available. They quickly arranged a few side tables for us in front of the register. Our waitress was insistent in a way that was quite overwhelming. For instance, my mother can't have spicy foods and asked if it was possible to get chicken and waffles without any spice. They have regular chicken strips and a classic Belgian waffle on the menu, along with normal syrup. Instead of directly addressing our request, the waitress just said, "The chicken and syrup are spicy. So." Once our food was served, we didn’t see our server again until we were finished, and she only returned to clear the table. Because of the haphazard arrangement of our table, my mother and I were constantly bumped into by staff without any apologies. Overall, we were very disappointed with the experience."

Loved this restaurant. We had a Thanksgiving Day brunch; the food and **** Mary’s were outstanding. View menu

7th and Carson is our new pre theater spot. Heck, it's our new downtown spot. Great food with great service at an impeccable value. View menu

The shrimp cocktail was a shrimp cocktail I had at Circus Circus 20 yrs ago, salad shrimp and tomato juice, horrible. The avocado toast was smashed avocado on thin grain toast topped with an entire package of arugula! Presentation was like they were trying to cover up a mistake! Chicken and waffles was great on the chicken strip but horrible on the soggy waffle. Syrup had some good heat. Overall disappointed and won’t be back!

"Entry: We entered Oscar's via the front entrance of The Plaza at the West end of Fremont Street. Off to the left near the entrance is the escalator that leads you to their second floor. When we entered we were immediately greeted and seated by a friendly hostess. We requested a table with a view and she definitely obliged. Atmosphere:The ambience at Oscar's is about as good as you can get in downtown Las Vegas. Centered in a large and beautifully tinted glass dome you get panoramic views of downtown LV and even the sky. Service:The service was a spectacular star experience with our waiter. Our water and drinks were never empty. He was attentive, professional and friendly. Food Drink:The food was very good but not quite up to star. The Chilean Sea Bass was the full fish with skin which is quite different than how most steakhouses prepare just a single filet. It was supposed to be deboned however we found bones while eating. The skin on the filet should be crispy throughout but was only so around the edges. Definitely overpriced for the quality of this meal. The salmon was decent but not amazing. Overcooked just a smidge and not seasoned very well. So pretty much tasted like any other salmon you might expect from a or star restaurant. The filet mignon was decent but probably not even in my top The cut was more fatty than what you would expect from a high end steakhouse and not marbleized. I ordered it medium, and as many steakhouse chefs struggle with cooking a filet properly it was cooked to order on the edges and pretty much completely rare on the inside. The grilled asparagus was likely the high point of the dinner. Was cooked to perfection and tender in the middle, crispy on the edges. The creamed spinach wasn't great. The spinach was undercooked and affected the smooth consistency that you should expect from a good cream spinach.Overall:Definitely worth trying for the experience but don't set your bar too high"
