"Service remained slow, and my food, when it did arrive, was average and nothing to write home about. However, the waitress did offer me a complimentary cocktail as an acknowledgment of the situation. I noticed the manager observing the dining area and checking in on other customers, but he never came over to speak with me. To top it off, an 18% service charge was added to my bill. I typically tip well and only see service charges for large groups. As I was leaving, I shared my concerns with the manager because I believed it was important to give him direct feedback. He apologized, but it felt insincere, and he made no effort to rectify the situation or ask how he could encourage my return. As a frequent business traveler, I value restaurants that treat solo diners with respect, and unfortunately, this was not the case here. I won't be returning and cannot recommend this restaurant."

Incredible!!! Best bang for your buck in such a romantic and elegant setting. Fantastically delicious steaks, the tenderest filet tips in yummy whiskey mushroom sauce, though each perfect on its own. The service was very friendly, though our waitress seemed to have many tables to attend to, making it difficult to request water refills and such. However, she couldn't have been nicer. The ambiance is wonderful, and I'm really glad Alford's is back, even better than before. I will definitely return!

I had been looking forwards to this dinner, and it was rather underwhelming. We won 't go back. Ordering was clumsy, they don 't allow ordering to share as a table. You must follow either the full dinner or a la carte options. It felt really awkward as we just wanted to order several things to share. Steaks were overcooked, and service was slow. I understand they have gone under a management change, so perhaps they are still working out the kinks.
