"My friends and I were in Manhattan for a busy pre-Christmas weekend and decided to have dinner at Angus after a theater matinee. We were seated on the third floor, which was quiet and relaxed, a welcome escape from the chaos of the city streets. The food was delicious, and our server was attentive with a warm personality and great sense of humor. We had a great time interacting with him during our meal. We shared a generous portion of Creme Brulee for dessert, which was wonderful and we couldn't even finish it between the three of us. I also enjoyed a fantastic cappucino with it. I will definitely be returning to Angus in the future."

The food was delicious, and our waitress was kind and attentive. While the portions were a little small, the prices were very reasonable, so we couldn't complain. View menu

Angus' cafe was a nice choice for new years eve. We were close to the times square action but away from the chaos. The service was efficient and friendly and the food was sufficient to curb an appetite.

So so but pricey food, no wine selection by the bottle, cheap house wine served as a Malbec, lack luster ambiance, musty damp odor. Does not deserve to be in the same street as Carmine's and should be avoided at all costs

Terrible after waiting for 80 minutes we still were not served and had to leave as we were going to a show right next door tables around us did the same When you are a restaurant in the theater district you should be aware that your customers have to get to a show

Waiter was fun and good natured but the food was mediocre, the owner insists on such rigidity as if his menu is perfect, and the ambience was old bar. High spot are the fries if you want fries I didn't and got them anyway). The beef burger was either tasteless or it was a turkey burger when I ordered beef. All in all, s'ok but not going to be a repeat.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
