"Exceptional! This is the best Indian food we've had in the Parsippany area to date. The dhansak is shown in the picture, along with samosas, naan, and papadum. My first hint that the meal would be fantastic was the tomato and onion topping on the papadum, which we actually didn’t order! The dhansak was a new dish for me, and it was delicious. We always try tikka masala when visiting new restaurants to gauge their quality, and it was outstanding here as well. The ingredients were noticeably fresh, and there was none of the greasy texture that can sometimes accompany takeout. I’ll provide an update after our next order to assess consistency. The fresh cooking on Saturday was impressive; I hope it continues through the weeks ahead, so that Apna Swad can become our go-to spot for Indian takeout."

We love this place so much. My dad wants their food at least three times a week. Our favorite: chole saag. Their samosas, dal makhani and numerous other items are delicious too!

The food was outstanding and perfectly prepared. I had the paneer saag, which was seasoned flawlessly and made fresh. The portion sizes were generous, and the rice was just right. I also enjoyed a fantastic Mango Lassi and a delicious dessert—kulfi.

A beautiful homely restaurant run by family members food tastes so good . We ordered a lot of stuff every single item was worth the price. God bless them I definitely wants to go again and again. I would like to recommend this place to every people who wants to eat vegetarian.

We enjoyed this restaurant so much that we ended up ordering from it two times in a row. I really appreciated that they prepared the Chicken Tikka Masala mild for the kids and spicy for the adults. The Onion Kulcha is amazing. Everything is fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this place! View menu

Awesome North Indian food. Run by a family and they maintain a homely atmosphere. Great buffet with good spread in the afternoons and good price. For dinner, from the menu, the goat bhuna is really good. I also loved the chicken tandoori. The Naan and Bhatura also are very tasty . Overall, awesome food and atmosphere!Parking: Great parking to the side of the property

However, once we started eating, we found that the chicken was overcooked and somewhat dry. We also tried the chicken 65 appetizer, but it was tough to chew and appeared to have been fried earlier and then reheated. This might be due to the use of chicken breast, which can dry out easily; using thigh meat would have significantly improved the dish. Despite these issues, I would consider ordering from here again, perhaps opting for goat or lamb next time.

By and far the best Indian food that I have had in the Northern NJ area and I have tried quite a few places. Their Naan is absolutely delicious, as are many of their entrees and appetizers. This restaurant seems to be run by a close knit family, and it shows in the good quality and deliciousness of the food. The front host is also very nice and pleasant. All in all I highly recommend Apna Swad if you are in Northern NJ and in the mood for Indian, they will notdisappoint! View menu

The samosa chaat at this restaurant is delicious and well-priced. However, I have some issues with the atmosphere—it's quite dull with dim lighting—and, more importantly, the service. My sister recently ordered pakoras for $6.50 and only received three, which seems unreasonable. Anyone familiar with Indian cuisine knows that pakoras are inexpensive to make, so paying $6.50 for just three is outrageous. When my sister raised her concern with the owner's son, he seemed indifferent to the complaint. Given these experiences, I don’t think I would order anything other than the chaat again.

The food here is absolutely delicious; I always find myself craving it and placing an order. However, I can't believe that a solo order under $25 takes over an hour—sometimes close to two! This happens every time I order, and I live just one block away! Since I can't drive, I rely on DoorDash. While I don't fault DoorDash for the delays, it's frustrating—either they're taking their time, or the restaurant is preparing everything fresh. Regardless, I shouldn't have to wait an hour and a half every time I order when I'm only two minutes away. The food is fantastic, but the service could definitely use some improvement, even when I dine in. On a positive note, as a vegetarian, I really apprecia...

"The culinary scene has a true standout in Marra 's Uptown Sandwich and Salad House. It is a place where classic meets contemporary, offering an assortment of delectable dishes that exceed expectations. This place is not just a restaurant, it 's an experience one that I 'm eager to relive after my recent visit. The star of my visit was undoubtedly the Drunk Chicken Sandwich. This hearty concoction was a triumph in flavors, perfectly encapsulating the dedication that goes into the preparation of each dish at Marra 's. The chicken was succulent and tender, cooked to perfection in what I suspect was a beer based marinade, hence the catchy name. The bread was fresh, perfectly toasted, adding an appreciated crunch to each bite. Layered with crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and a tangy mayo dressing, the sandwich delivered a symphony of textures and flavors that was nothing short of culinary brilliance. But it wasn 't just the food that won me over. Marra 's service and ambiance are just as compelling. The staff were consistently courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt, displaying the kind of attentiveness that transforms a good dining experience into a great one. The eatery 's late opening hours, until 7:30 PM, are a delightful bonus, catering to the needs of those looking for a late night bite in town. As someone who appreciates the option to dine later in the evening, this convenience significantly elevated my overall experience. The ambiance of the place is equally praiseworthy an ideal blend of modern comfort and vintage charm. This creates a welcoming atmosphere that invites diners to sit back, relax, and truly savor their meal. In terms of critique, I struggle to find any. From the moment I walked in, to the moment I left, my experience was filled with positive surprises. The Drunk Chicken Sandwich was a joy to eat, the service was exceptional, and the late hours were a convenience I truly appreciated."
