"**Title: A Culinary Journey Across the Country: Artichoke Basille's Pizza, 2,860.1 Miles Away** **Review:** Where do I even start? Let me take you on a delightful adventure of love, long-distance romance, and the incredible journey of pizza across the miles. Imagine this: Seattle, the Emerald City, a paradise for coffee lovers and grunge fans, and then there's New York, the Big Apple, a vibrant city that never rests. Two worlds come together, bound by love and a mutual craving for extraordinary pizza. Welcome to the enchanting story of Artichoke Basille's Pizza. It all began when my boyfriend, a devoted New Yorker, relocated to Seattle. He often felt the pangs of nostalgia, particularly when it came to one thing: pizza. During our long-distance relationship, I made the journey to New York City, a place that never fails to fascinate. Little did I know that my taste buds were about to embark on a delightful adventure. Enter Artichoke Basille's Pizza, the gateway to a pizza lover's paradise. The moment I stepped in, I was drawn in by its mesmerizing aroma and inviting slices. It was here, amidst the city's hustle and bustle, that I took my first bite of their legendary pizza. And let me tell you, it was love at first taste. Fast forward to today, where the magic of Artichoke Basille's Pizza has crossed state lines. Thanks to my thoughtful boyfriend, who understands the depth of my cravings, I found myself face-to-face with two divine pizzas, delivered straight from a cross-country flight. Yes, you read that correctly—these slices journeyed through the skies, braved airport security, and ended up right in my oven. You might think the quality would diminish after such a trip, but no! With each bite, the pizza gods confirmed that miracles do happen. The Margherita pizza, a classic blend of flavors, whisked me back to the vibrant streets of New York City. The fresh basil, tangy tomatoes, and creamy mozzarella danced together on my palate, creating pure pizza bliss. Next came the classic pepperoni, a simple dish with an exciting twist. Each slice was crowned with perfectly crispy and delightfully spicy pepperoni. The combination of melted cheese, zesty sauce, and a flawlessly charred crust created a symphony of flavors that made my heart race. Artichoke Basille's Pizza defies expectations. It has perfected the art of crafting slices that maintain their divine essence, even after enduring airport inspections and long-distance flights. It feels as if each slice possesses a magical quality, ensuring that the flavors remain intact, no matter the distance traveled. So here’s to Artichoke Basille's Pizza, the enchanting force that connects Seattle to New York, leaving behind a trail of satisfied taste buds. May your dough always rise perfectly, your toppings be exquisite, and your flavors be absolutely irresistible. You have captured my heart, one delicious slice at a time."

They don’t open on time. How will you keep up business if you’re not open two hours after scheduled business hours? Can’t place orders at all unless you get lucky. Two stars because their pizza is good.

Usual pizza from Artichoke. The namesake slice is creamy and very filling. Place gets a fifth star because of the nice, friendly man working the counter when I went. Funny dude, hope he's there all the time. View menu

Went here and loved the pizza. Unfortunately they are severely overpriced even for a New York City pizza shop. Wouldn’t go here again. If you want good value pizza and can stand the travel L&B Spumoni never disappoints nor leave your broke.

Horrible staff. I got out the car to place an order and all the lights in the store were off even though staff were inside. Then the cashier seemed bothered by the fact we were placing an order, it was 10:45pm so a little over 2 hours before closing. Thenafter handing him the cash he literally threw the change back at me on the counter. Worst dominos ever. And that's saying a lot.

The most inconsistent business in Bay Ridge. It's rarely opened as advertised, when they are open they have stupid problem like they are out of dough, they don't serve beer or anything besides pizza. But my main Issue is the hours. Pizza's very good, just wish I could be a regular customer. I will no longer TRY and eat here nor will I recommend it to any friends in town or visiting. Might as well shut down. View menu

Tina's take: 11/10 It's my first time visiting this location and it was great! I been to the other locations in the past and it lives up to the name. I got the famous artichoke slice and it did not disappoint. The store was super clean and the workers were very informational. I see that previous reviews were saying their hours were irregular, but it looks like they are back to normal and they are here to stay. Can't wait to come back.

The customer service at this location is non existent and the delivery person is literally just lazy. I am unable to go downstairs due to an injury which is why I ordered delivery and the driver refused to come upstairs to my apartment citing fearsof getting a parking ticket. There is a driveway which I told him he can park at but he continued to refuse. By the time myhusband got dressed and went down stairs, the driver had left with our food. When I called the location, I was told they can?tmake the driver go upstairs if he feels unsafe.... This is Bayridge and a super safe neighborhood. He didn?t feel unsafe, He?sjust lazy. I?ve never had any issue with anyone delivering upstairs before. D...

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
