"The restaurant is somewhat decent, but it has a bit of a "lipstick on a pig" vibe. They seem to think that labeling everything as fresh and dayboat somehow elevates the experience, but let's be honest—nothing is truly fresh, local, or dayboat in Swampscott during February. A prime example is the "fresh wild Atlantic salmon" special I encountered during my last visit. Wild Atlantic salmon is actually an endangered species. When I asked about it, the owner/chef, G, became quite animated, insisting it was indeed wild. While I doubt they are breaking any endangered species laws, it feels like they’re just not being truthful."
