"I like this place. Staff is friendly and considerate and even though it is an order at the counter type of restaurant they still make a point of coming out to check on you to make sure that your food is all that you hoped it would be. I appreciate that. The food is good. The ribs are some of the best I've ever had. The focus in this restaurant is really the meat the barbecue sauces are not the big deal it's the meat. And the meat is very good. I also think the potato salad and baked beans are great the blueberry cornbread was good. I've also had the Stacked house I think it's called which is brisket and pulled-pork sandwich I enjoyed that very much. My husband loves the tacos. They are just a pile of good white meat chicken on a couple of tortillas but for him that's exactly what he loves. So if you want a good reliable BBQ experience this is the place. The only thing I would say is that they are sauces could use a little Improvement. They're not quite as full-flavored as I would like. But as I said the meat is the star this place that in the service!"

I wanted to try this place for years. Door disc made it easy. The food was excellent. Enjoys choice of 2 meats and 2 sides with maize bread flour. tender and delicious. We added this to our regular visit to go.

Tried the sample plate containing sausage, turkey, chicken, brisket. Your meat is smoked in the late morning and served fresh and hot on request. Tender, filled with taste. Side dishes include sweet potato long fries that were crispy and light. The mac-n-cheese had a sharp rich cheddar taste with a creamy texture. The claw is also a local specialty.

Absolutely amazing every single time! I never knew just how much I loved this type of cuisine. The quality is outstanding, and the atmosphere is truly unique. The customer service is the best you will ever encounter. The chef even takes the time to check in with customers regularly, and the staff is incredibly sweet and helpful. Great food! The ?redneck fries? were my favorite. Rated a 3 stars because the service wasn?t very good. They messed up our order twice and then told us if we wanted our original order we had to pay the $9 difference. I feel like normally at restaurants they would?ve comped it when it was their fault. I used to live in Costa Mesa over 10 years ago. Discovered this place shortly before moving back to Santa Barbara. It was in my top 3 places of food that I miss. Now whenever I have to go back down south I make sure to plan for a large order pick-up. Owner Gary and his staff are always on point with my large catering style orders.
