"Service was good. Sadly the food was not!! We went to big Al's to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary. We ordered 3 Dungeness crabs special which was 4 clusters with potatoes corn and sausage per person. Sadly the crabs where so salty we could not eat them. It was like eating pure salt. So we sent them bk and asked if they could cook them with no salt. They took them bk and sent out the same salty crabs reheated. So we requested our bill pd and left. We will never ever go bk. 2 hours and $65 and we returned home hungry. Worst experience in my life. I would give 0 stars but it's not a option."

The food here is outstanding and the portions are generous! Plus, the kids' menu includes fish and shrimp, alongside the usual options.

Delicious food at a great price! The daily special offered excellent value. They use locally sourced ingredients, and the staff was very friendly. We had a wonderful experience overall.

I brought some of my friends from the north to try some seafood. The flavor was amazing and the crabs were awesome quality. I normally love my food spicy but I knew my northern friends wouldn't appreciate it that hot. It had a bite to it but It was not killing them out.

Food and service was ok but having to pay $50.00 for a so called banquet room was unbelievable. It was more like a store room. Most chairs were broken, no cutlery on tables, no salt pepper., no napkins. It was sad to charge anyone for a room like tbis. We are not going back there ever again.

The food was outstanding, and as you can see from the pictures, it was absolutely delicious. I was in the mood for seafood, and everything that was served met my cravings perfectly. I will definitely come back again and again. Anyone passing through this area should definitely stop by and try the oysters—they're simply wonderful! View menu

Great little place. Seafood was okay, only reason it doesn 't get 5 stars is the seasoning was a little too weak for me. But that 's pretty common for most people born and raised down the bayou. That 's my only complaint . The gator and fried crab claws were really good. The crawfish could have done with a tad bit more seasoning but was boiled just right as it peeled with no issues.

Absolutely love big Al’s. I was in Louisiana recently and got to try several of the entrees and none of them disappointed! The crab legs were amazing. The fried seafood was amazing. We tried raw oysters as recommend by the local that took us to try the place and they were the best I have had. The gumbo also was really good. I’d say it’s safe to say you can’t go wrong choosing any entree on the menu at Big Al’s seafood in Houma, Louisiana.

"Revised to add: the restaurant owner reached out to me and apologized and sent me a gift card to more than cover the cost of my meal that he said should have been comped in the first place. I will try them again since I’ve been here in the past and haven’t had this type of service before. I was very disappointed with our latest experience at this restaurant. I found a hair in my food and the waitress just took my plate and went have another made for me. She did apologize but that's all that was offered to make it right. I wasn't offered any kind of discount on my meal or any compensation for my inconvenience. Then, after having to wait for my food to be remade the waitress came to the table and asked about dessert while I was just starting on my meal. I asked to wait until I finished my meal and she said she couldn't because we had the table for too long and there was another reservation coming in behind us even though the room we were in was almost empty except for one other table who had arrived not long after us and wasn't trying to be rushed out of the restaurant. We were charged down the the parmesan cheese we sprinkled on our bread and food and I couldn't even be given time to eat the food that had to be remade because of their mistake of getting HAIR in it. Absolutely disgusted and will not be bringing my employees there for our Christmas dinner next year or any other occasions."
