"I am writing this review with tears in my eyes. It is with sadness that I must inform you that BLD will be closing its doors on January 31st, 2017. You will be greatly missed! The food, as always, was absolutely amazing. I started with the warm olives and Mac n cheese, accompanied by a dirty martini. For my main course, I ordered the pork chop and my friend had the salmon - both dishes were expertly prepared. For dessert, I convinced them to make us some 'Adult Milkshakes' for old times' sake, and they happily obliged. I am not sure why they are closing (the restaurant business is challenging), but I truly wish they were not. I will be there on the 31st for the 'Brunchathon', and I highly recommend that you join me. Thank you BLD for consistently delivering exceptional dining experiences. THE REAL RAY COMBS."

I had obtained a Gilt City certificate for BLD, and needed to make use of it, so we went there for a late-night dinner. Fantastic food and great service.

Always love the food here but the service is usually a little lackluster. No hustle or quick greeting once seated. It's happened more than once but not bad enough that I'd stop going.

The atmosphere was OK. The prices seemed a bit high. We did not like the taste of their $18 hamburgers (of the 3 of us , no one ate more than 2 bites). The fries were good, but extremely salty. Won't be going back. View menu

I adore BLD and I cannot believe that it is closing at the end of this month. This is a huge loss for the west side dining community. Why does this happen so frequently in LA? Please convince the owners to come back!!

I was hoping to enjoy a delicious burger here, but unfortunately, I didn't find one. The beef was too salty for my liking. The vegan burger option was flavorful, but the texture was too mushy. I will definitely miss the chocolate sorbet from ICDC that they used to have here.

My order was incorrect twice and the eggs benedict was disappointing. The poached egg was overcooked and the English muffin was not good. It took a long time for the kitchen to correct my order and everyone at my table had already finished eating by the time I received the correct dish. View menu

I arranged a brunch to celebrate my birthday here. The food was terrible to mediocre at best. I've never had a hollandaise sauce so bland and watery. Even the biscuits were bland. When we told the server she apologized and said she would let the chef know but did nothing to really make up for it. The other items my friends ordered were edible but by far nothing special. It was a complete let down, especially considering I had heard good things. I would never recommend this place.

Unfortunately BLD has lost some of its excellence. On this visit the service was lackadaisical at best. It took quite a while to get service, they didn 't bring a wine list, they rarely checked on our table (restaurant was half empty), and the food was a bit cold when it arrived. In addition despite there being plenty of room in the restaurant we were seated next to a huge party that were very loud. Two out of three plates were enjoyable but all lacked the level of flavor we 're used to from the old BLD.

"I never leave bad reviews when I can help, but from our experience last night I only had to say for dinner as a whole was so disappointing, the least and after the output it was just a complete bill. if they come here for a nice dinner, they have great food or steaks please skip. go somewhere else food: we ordered the oysters, lobster bisque, bread basket (the btw is) and the tomahawk steak with sides. the entire meal was nothing special, characterized by the fact that even though our server always say that its just come out of the often his hot we have the broth basket roomtemp and the lobster bisque as a think. none of them were served hot. I give these stars only because of the tomahawk steak in the middle well, it was delicious. it was a hope that it would be good, right? we ordered the familiar and the brussels sprouts, but it came out, served on small dust sacks. small portions. a little taste. Note: they no longer serve the special measurable and sauce for any steak order. bummer ambiance service: la boucherie is on the floor of the hotel so that the prospects in the night are amazing. server were nice and polite. they were attentive and very professional. everything in all, if I can turn back the time, I wouldn't be here at all. the evening has lost its elegance and prices do not justify the disappointing food. I hope they can fix this and bring back the old la boucherie charme and aromen."
