"What a fabulous breakfast experience! Do you ever have a bite of something and it takes you back to your childhood? Well, I had that happen at Ronneburg Restaurant and you can to. I was in town for a wedding and woke up needing some breakfast. Stat. We drove down the street to see what was open and the Ronneburg Restaurant look happening. We were seated right away. And while they offer a family style all you can eat breakfast $16 I was in a hurry so I ordered a short stack with eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. The pancakes came out first and are literally have the best pancakes in town. They're super thin with crispy edges. You didn't even need syrup, seriously. They tasted just like my Aunt Mary's pancakes. I could remember my childhood summers with her in Norway, IA. Divine. The made in house strawberry rhubarb jam also was amazing. The service was impeccable. I don't use that word often, but it truly was. The pricing was on point. Parking is a non issue. The breakfast menu was small and offered all the classics, nothing crazy. This Amana gotta try is open Wednesday through Monday closed Tuesday and serves up breakfast 8 10:30am each day it is open. Check it out... and order the pancakes."

"We always eat here when we travel to this area! This time we went upstairs to the museum areas and this was a great new addition to our trip! I highly recommend doing so while you are waiting for your table! We celebrated our twins' birthdays and they always do a wonderful job with free desserts and they take a large picture and print it off framed for you to keep. Yummy homemade food! Nearby activities: Historically area filled with houses, buildings and shops of the Amana Colonies. The restaurant itself is a historic location and beautiful. Safety: Small, quiet quaint area. Walkability: Small community with a very walkable shopping, eating and lodging area. Food drinks: Traditional German food served family style. Noteworthy details: Fun atmosphere to eat in and learn some history. Our children are teenagers and still love to come here to celebrate!!"

"This is the best pretzel we have ever tried. It is made with wheat bread instead of white bread. The selection of beer is great, and the outdoor deck is very tranquil. We are grateful that we discovered this place through the Iowa Beer Passport. We highly recommend visiting the town of Amana Colony. The service for dining in was excellent."

"I made a special trip to Chocolate Haus, and it was well worth it! They offer an impressive selection of delightful treats that you'll surely enjoy. If you can't make it to the shop, they also provide convenient subscription boxes. I highly recommend sampling their fudge—it's fantastic! Additionally, the town of Amana is a wonderful place to explore, with plenty of attractions, making it a great spot for a full day out. This charming little shop is definitely worth the journey!"

"For our main courses, my wife and I ordered the stuffed chicken breast and the brisket sandwich, which we decided to share. The chicken breast was quite dry, and my portion was only about three bites. While the cherry reduction sauce was nice, it didn’t really complement the chicken. The brisket sandwich was also dry and contained only a couple of slices of brisket. The gouda cheese was overcooked and burnt, so I had to remove it. The fries had a decent amount of salt but were rather soggy. When our food was delivered, we asked for a side of BBQ sauce, but there were no condiments on the table to begin with. Our waiter did not return to check on us for the rest of the evening. I ended up having to visit the hotel bar to settle the bill, only to be redirected back to the restaurant. The bartender had to track down our server, who claimed they were busy making salads. It was surprising because we were the only table they had. On a Saturday night, there were just two other occupied tables in the whole place. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend dining here, although the atmosphere was quite appealing.
