"First time at Helen's, after hearing good things. We were vacationing at the end of September in Machiasport, and ordered takeout from Helen's on our first night (a Friday . It was ready relatively quickly, which was nice, but when we got to our B B we noticed they had forgotten some things. Not a big deal. The next night we decided to get takeout again, only this time we checked the bag quickly before leaving the restaurant. It looked like everything was there. When we got back to our B B, however, we realized they'd forgotten one of our sides. (sigh It was printed on the receipt, but it appears no one (including us! double checked to ensure the order was fulfilled correctly. For the price, we expected better service. Oh well. Coffee Crisp stole our hearts anyway, and we look forward to returning to Machiasport next year and eating there!"

"Delicious traditional American and Maine cuisine that tastes just like your grandma would have made—so good you'll want to lick your plate clean! Our server, Sara, was fantastic, adding some flair and thoughtful sauce recommendations to the lunch specials. The lobster stew was rich in flavor with simple ingredients, and the dessert we took home was definitely worth every calorie. My husband loved the authentic battered onion rings and steak wrap, almost as much as we enjoyed sharing the sweet corn nuggets and southwest egg rolls as appetizers. This will definitely be a regular stop on our way to Lubec. Well done, Blue Bird Ranch Family!"

"I waited to put this up to see if the company would even try to fix these issues, but alas that's not the case. I order online and for the last 6 orders over the last 3 months, every single order has been wrong. Every one. I leave a tip for every other and ask that the 2 sandwiches I order be labeled. Simple, right? I thought so too. After speaking to the manager, she informed me that special instructions were supposed to be highlighted by employees so that they pay attention. Guess who's receipts aren't highlighted?I tried calling for two days to have this issue resolved however no one answered the phone."

"I give this restaurant a five-star rating, thanks to a kind gentleman who assisted two travelers passing through. My daughter and I were stopping for a meal when I accidentally dropped the oil filler cap into the electric fan while checking the oil in our vehicle. We searched for it but couldn't find it, and then a gentleman stopped to help us. He brought a flashlight and helped us locate the cap, refusing any payment and simply saying he was happy to assist. The service at the restaurant was excellent, and the restrooms were clean. The staff at the counter were friendly, and the manager was very welcoming."

"The food here is fantastic! There aren't many tables by the water, but the staff is very friendly. The portions are generous, and the menu offers a great variety, including tasty ice cream with delightful flavors. As for parking, it's free! While seating is limited, it’s not a big issue. Overall, a wonderful dining experience!"
