"While my experience wasn’t terrible, it certainly didn’t live up to the quality of my first visit. They forgot to include the guacamole and flour tortillas for the queso flameado with steak. In my previous meal, the queso didn’t have cilantro, which is one of the reasons I liked Kiki’s so much—they didn’t overdo it with cilantro in every dish! People tend to either love or hate it, and I definitely fall into the latter category.
That’s why I usually steer clear of chain restaurants like On the Border, Chuy's, and Chili's, where it seems like everything is packed with cilantro. Unfortunately, this time Kiki’s added cilantro to my queso flameado! And it wasn’t just a sprinkle. While the guacamole only had a hint of cilantro that was barely noticeable, the queso was overwhelmed by it, masking the flavors of the fresh tomatoes and grilled onions with steak. I even pulled out two large stems of cilantro from the cheese, and there was more!
Given my strong aversion to cilantro, I'm unsure if I will order from them again. I appreciate that the dishes are made fresh, but I also need consistency with the ingredients, especially since I have dietary restrictions. So, could you please confirm whether or not cilantro will be included in the queso flameado?"
