"I have gone back and forth on this place. At one point, this was our absolute favorite place on Denton Square. We really loved their egg salad and beer bread which have both gone away. Muffins seemed to have disappeared the last few trips. Tea flavors aren't always that special. Love the muffins when they have them. Avoid the croissants, they aren't special. BLTA was disappointing this time around, uninspiring. My GF said the chicken salad barely had a dollop of chicken salad. I did enjoy the Rocket the Beets but my GF feels the drop off over the years is noticible. Despite only two other tables, the wait for our food was interminably slow if not down right unacceptable. Service has been hot and cold over the years. The redecorating is a refreshing update from the overly eclectically mismatched tables and chairs and thoroughly worn out booth seating. As they say, all good things must come to an end. As long as it's us, I doubt we return hoping to get something that will never return."

Went in to ask for a cup of water for my friend who was about to pass out and the staff was very very nice and let us come in the AC and sit for a bit. Will be back to support! View menu

This is one of the most AMAZING places in Denton. The food is phenomenal, the staff is top notch, and the wine selection is outstanding. If I could give it a million stars I would!

Suzanne catered my husband’s memorial celebration at Dan’s Silverleaf in Denton. The food was fabulous! Everyone raved about it. I highly recommend her for any event you need catered as well as eating at the restaurant.

The Italian food on First Fridays was amazing! The whole staff is genuinely very nice and welcoming. Nick was a great server but several other people stopped by the table to help out and they were great too! It’s a chill place to read as well. I’ll definitely be back : Wheelchair accessibility: I use a power chair and the restaurant was very accessible. Wide open areas and a great bathroom.

I had crepe italiano, my friend had the American breakfast. The crepe’s edges were burned (black) they don’t even try to make it look like a crepe and also they throw what I think it was breakfast potatoes on top reheated, dry… my friend’s dish had the same horrible potatos, cold bacon and a toss. It was gross just to see it. A homeless person keeps coming in and out to use the restroom and the smell that left behind is really disgusting. The coffee, worse coffee I’ve ever had in Denton. This place is only open because of the mimosa bar which has all the fruits chopped who knows since when, uncovered, few flies around… this is the worse restaurant I’ve been since i moved to Denton 2 years ag...

"I had a great time with my friend at Komodo Loco. The interior felt like something you might see in Austin or Colorado moody lighting with cool artwork. First things first, I was hoping that we would sit in the front area of the restaurant where things were happening but we were sat in a back room down tue hallway which you couldn't even tell existed. It was super dark and not as appealing as the front of store which was a bummer. I could've said something but it ended up okay in the end. Our waitress was good about checking up on us so we appreciated that. Let's talk about food and drink. For the cocktail, I got the berry drink at first which was gin and blackberries and blueberries I believe. I wasn't a huge fan, but I was able to switch it out with the Japanese whiskey drink which was a whole lot better 6.5/10 The food was overall delicious. I got the slammin sake roll which was me and my friends favorite a spicy salmon roll that had just the right amount of kick to it 9/10 I also got sashimi with mango it was not bad; fresh but definitely not as tasty, complex or worth it to me compared to the previous roll 6/10 Finally I got the tuna maki since I was still hungry. It was probably the worst roll of the bunch. It was the cheapest and the seaweed was chewy and hard to bite through. My friend got a specialty featured roll that had mango in it (I forget the name) but it was delish. 7.5/10. The kicker to all this was that I asked for sauces and was not told ahead of time that I would be charged for it. Again I didn't say anything at the time because it was only 25 cents per sauce but just the fact that I was told beforehand was not great. They should tell guests if something is extra I've never been charged for extra sauce on the side at any other restaurant ever. Overall a good experience with a few tweaks this could be 5 stars for me maybe I would give it another try in the future"
