"Avoid at all costs On arrival could see there were many many empty tables bit were told there would be a 25 minute wait as there was a lot in front of us. There was a big group of teenagers and one other family but then for some reason we were given a table first! While waiting for our table food a staff member was clearing tables. Instead of standing at table clearing in one go and the wiping down they sat at the table. They pushed all the dirty plates to the end then wiped a bit of table them stacked up the plates then wiped the table before then removing the dirty things. What a time consuming and lazy way to work especially when you have a queue! We all ordered soup/ chilli and salad they arrived with no soup spoons which we then had to wait for and so then had cold food. The chilli was incredibly salty and the Caesar salad was a plate of brown old lettuce with 3 croutons. Not very clean place look elsewhere !"

Delicious food! Very friendly service! Our waitress kept checking on us and we never ran out of drinks. We came in for an early dinner and I'm glad we did! I don't know why this place doesn't have better reviews, but that's okay, we will be back and prefer that it isn't real crowded and noisy!

We came in and ordered our food. Everything was fine at first our server brought our drinks. That was the last time we saw her for about 10 minutes. She came and took our order it took 45 minutes just to get cold food. It tasted horrible this is a frequent dish that we get. She never came to check on us we sat with empty drinks. Extremely disappointed when we went to leave after paying she was very very rude. She was snappy the whole time but the last thing was just disrespectful. Horrible customer service!!!

"We were quickly seated on a Friday evening. I do not like sitting at a table out in the middle right in front of the kitchen doors. Would have preferred to be seated at a booth. I didn’t ask to change seats. I think that they should ask the guest their preference before seating. Service was extremely fast and courteous. We loved our waitress. At first, I thought I was under dressed. Then we saw several folks wearing their scrubs and hoodies. (The hospital is next door. Alright then! That made the atmosphere feel a bit more relaxed and accepting. Spanish Home Fries and Boudin Balls were awesome. My husband really liked the pickled veggies. Frozen Porch Swing was good but very powerful lemon flavor. Not too strong alcohol though. Sweet tea lived up to Southern expectations. Lasagna was still boiling when served. "This experience was how I had hoped for after seeing an older food tv special/show that featured it. We happened to be going to Florida and stayed a night in Jackson MS just to try this recommended restaurant. Love the low lighting in this quaint, historical place. The service was spot on. The redfish topped with crab was amazing. I did get the sauce on the side. I subbed the grits for mashed potatoes and they were perfectly cooked. We also ordered the 3 Asian salad first. What a cool item to offer instead of always having a wedge or Caesar salad. Nantucket scallops melted in my mouth. It was a superior dining experience."

"This was my first time in Jackson. We were in town for a Joe Bonamassa concert. I ate here with my 2 teenage boys, so we had a little bit of everything! Big sample platter, BBQ nachos, and tacos! We all thought the brisket was amazing! Probably in the top 3 of best briskets I have ever eaten! We got our food pretty quickly. They were busy, but not packed. All the staff were friendly and helpful."

"We went for a late lunch before heading to the airport. On a Sunday, so no crowds. Restaurant is located nearby University Hospitals and they have a Grocery store on the back of parking lot. Clearly they are short staffed (as most places, blame it on Covid). Despite that, service was extremely friendly, attentive and efficient. Those 2 ladies were flying all over the place. Food came fast. We ordered some options of 'combinations ', appetizer combo, kebab combo, etc so we were able to try lots of different tastes Every single thing was AMAAAAZING. Meats were fresh and tender. Seasoning was excellent. We were literally scratching the dishes with bread at the end, no hummus to be wasted! 'Great Food ' said our friend who is Iranian Kurdish. He knows how it should taste, I guess. LOL We ended with a variety of desert options and tea. As odd as it sounds, among baklava, birds nest, etc. try their homemade tiramisu. Homemade indulgence! It was a perfect way to end our trip to Jackson MS. Can 't wait to go back again!"

"Same everytime. Best part about Keifer 's is it 's reliable and consistent. Also, I pretty much get the same thing every time. I get a pita mozz with cottage fries. I always talk someone else into splitting the fries with me because there are way too many. And they aren 't really fries, they 're a potato cut into strips lengthwise and that 's it. But they 're so perfectly brown. Get Feta Dressing when you go to dip them in if it doesn 't come with your meal. In fact, get the zazeeki sauce too. Its all good.
