Chinar, Always a pleasant experience. Delicious food, attentive service and an overall pleasant environment. Live background music. Dance floor is available. Private rooms for events are there to book. Enjoy.

The dinner was delicious, and the service was excellent. Although there wasn't a bartender, the waitress brought me generous glasses of Georgian wine. I would definitely return. However, the mashed potatoes were quite bland.

I was invited to the wedding day. This restaurant had a very unprofessional service. The plates were served in blue gloves! The pandemic is over and this is not the presentation you want to see in a five-star restaurant. In a five-star restaurant you don't expect dirty forks and knives from writers? Hands make the floor dirty, greasy and slippery. I had also expected wine and other spirits to be poured or at least offered to the guests. Beyond disappointed.My family has been frequenting Chinar since the original owners first had it, almost 20 years ago. The food was always delicious and many parties were hosted there. I've taken plenty of my American friends here, introducing them to delicious food. Including my husband. My husband and I have been ordering take out from Chinar for the past few years. Never again!This restaurant is known for very delicious food, and we decided to make a banquet for 25 people to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was a disaster, even though the food was delicious as usual! There was just not enough of it compared to other times we were here. The amount of food served was half of the expected! Two menu dishes were not served at all... I cannot imagine people in a restaurant sitting at empty tables with empty plates and waiting for the dessert for an hour! Another area that was particularly off-putting was the women's restroom. It was very dirty, old, and outdated. The toilet seats were stained with blue spots from cleaners, making them appear gray and worn. There was no toilet paper in the stalls, which were all soiled with brown stains and rust, clearly uncleaned for months. The floors were cracked and filthy, and there was a large wet roll of paper towels just sitting by the sink. It wouldn’t take much effort to install a paper towel dispenser. We were invited to a banquet on August 27th to CHINAR on Staten island. We have been to this restaurant before but it never looked so neglected and dirty. First thing that caught my eyes was the front of the restaurant- very unkept andneglected...weeds were consuming the entire outdoor area.. some weeds were plucked and just thrown on the floor, cigarette budsand cigarette packs by the entrance doors. There used to be decorative ever greens in the big pots by the parking lot which dieddue to draught and not watering and now the pots were just used as a place for garbage which was very unappealing. Review from Beginning of 2020 Have visited Chinar on the Island restaurant multiple times for variety of occasions: from regular lunch or dinner to birthday parties to celebratory dinners.
