"Excellent bagels!! They also serve a gigantic NY style pizza slice that is also really good. Prices are fair, but worth it. There is a trip hazard leaving the store covered by a black rug a large raised spot in the flooring so beware if that as I almost tripped while putting napkins into my bag and walking out. Needs something lighter so that the optical illusion of flatness isn’t covered up by the rug!Lunch meats there are Boars head which are quality. I’d rather though see their own brand or get it shipped in from another deli than use a large chain brand deli meat.Great place though! Friendly staff."

Maybe they just weren’t my style but these bagels were incredibly sweet and hardly had any seasoning on them. Good selection but wasn’t a fan of the taste

Great bagel! Nice and chewy. The salmon in the Nova Lox wasn’t super fishy, which tells me it was pretty fresh. The cucumber was another nice crunchy flavor. They got all the proportions right on this one!

I absolutely love this place! The corned beef and egg salad taste fantastic, and the bagel is really good. However, I wish they would go a little easier on the mustard, as it can be quite overpowering at times. View menu

Okay, that was the best bagel I ever had. Literally. I had the Honey Maple Turkey Sandwich on a Garlic Herb Bagel, Spicy Mustard with plain cream cheese. The flavors were amazing, each bite was a great experience for me.

Not too bad but not quiet as good as the NYC places. Having been to nyc in February we wanted to scratch the itch of the Bagels we had. This place wasn't bad but isn't quiet as good, it's a bit stingy on the cream cheese I felt but it was still a nice bagel.

Just okay. “Everything bagel” had two spots of seasoning on it, otherwise was just a plain bagel. It’s hard to find good bagels in the Midwest and this one did have a good chew to it, but also somehow tasted/felt chalky. Also ordered it toasted and they did not toast it. Good coffee. View menu

The bagels were tasty, but they were quite expensive. Another issue was the layout of the ordering and pick-up area, which could be improved. It would help to clearly mark the different sections, as many people seemed confused about where to stand while waiting or placing their orders, especially with two separate order areas.

I really enjoyed this place! There’s affordable street parking, but seating is limited—only five bar stools available. However, the bagels are absolutely divine! Everything was fresh and delicious. You’re going to love it here. They also offer regular brewed coffee, both hot and cold, which was decent but nothing extraordinary, as expected.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
