"Unfortunately we did not have a great experience at the Roseville, Michigan Cracker Barrel. The staff was friendly, but that was the only redeeming factor for the evening. We arrived just after 6:00 on a Sunday evening to a half empty restaurant but told it would be a 50 minute wait. We spent some time wandering the store and playing checkers on the patio out front. After an hour and 15 minutes we were seated. The server came to take our order, but then informed us that they were out of a number of side items and there was a wait on the mashed potatoes. As my husband was planning to order the Loaded Shepherds Pie, we asked how long the wait would be. She didn't know as she had been unable to find the cook but would check again. 30 minutes after being seated, we were told the cook had been located and the mashed potatoes were ready and placed our orders. 15 minutes later a different staff member came out to say they unfortunately did not have the Shepherds pie available so my husband chose another entree. Our biscuits were delivered to the table with bowls to eat from. They were out of plates and these bowls were still wet and needed to be dried off before using them. My grilled chicken was tasty, but my mashed potatoes were not hot and were missing the gravy. I just ate them anyway. At this point I was quite hungry. The fried apples were overcooked to the point where you could not pick them up with a fork. My husband found them inedible, but no one ever came back to check on that. She dropped off napkins (that we didn't need and didn't ask for), water (that we also didn't need or ask for) and the check and disappeared. We finished eating and went to the register to pay. There was no cashier. We waited with a few other guests by the register. One had a carryout order handed to them, but no one for the register. After about 10 minutes I decided to use the QR code on the receipt to pay with a credit card that way. When we returned to the car, it was almost 9pm. Almost 3 hours after we arrived! The service at this location was abysmal. We likely will not return to this location any time soon. I imagine we are not alone in that sentiment."
