"The staff is so amazing and kind however when we got to our table there was a fork placed at my seat that was clearly un-washed… food still on it which is absolutely disgusting. Things get rushed, looked over and swept under the table but for there to be a dirty utensil that is put in mouths of hundreds of others is so gross. Not to mention, I have a shell-fish allergy. If I didn’t notice and ate off the fork the pervious person could have ate shrimp with my throat would’ve swollen up. Take this with a grain of salt and please stop and take a second to do the job you’re being paid to do. This could have went terribly."

"A Mixed Bag at This Hole-in-the-Wall BBQ Joint I love discovering hole-in-the-wall BBQ joints, and this one had promise, but my experience left me with mixed feelings. First, let’s talk about the highlight: the sweet coleslaw. It was the perfect balance of creamy and tangy with just the right amount of sweetness—a side dish I would gladly come back for. I also enjoyed the ribs. Tender and tasty. Unfortunately, the brisket didn’t hit the same high notes. It was somewhat tender, but lacked the smoky depth and flavor punch I was hoping for. In a BBQ spot, that’s kind of a letdown. Now for the pricing: I wasn’t thrilled about being charged $1.25 for an extra (tiny! portion of BBQ sauce. The portions felt stingy for the price, and at nearly $30, the sampler platter was a tough sell. While the platter gave me a chance to try a bit of everything, it just didn’t deliver enough value for the cost. The place itself had the classic hole-in-the-wall charm: mismatched chairs, paper towel rolls on the table, and the faint aroma of smoked meat in the air. The staff was friendly enough, but it didn’t quite make up for the pricing and the underwhelming brisket. Overall, it’s a decent spot if you’re in the area and craving sweet coleslaw and a casual vibe, but I’d think twice if your looking for that special place that is too good to pass up."

"The food at this restaurant was underwhelming. The steak was overcooked, the hotdogs were cold, and the chili was also served cold. After sending the chili back, it was simply microwaved and topped with cheese and onions to make it appear fresh. Even the rice was served cold. The only positive was that the tea was good. It's surprising how the food consistently came out cold, despite the lack of business at the restaurant."

"Today was our first time at Hoodletown. We have a 2 month old and this was our first time taking her out to eat with us. The two ladies that were working were absolutely AMAZING. They went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and enjoying our time out to eat. Our waitress even boxed up our food as my husband was paying and I was holding the baby. I cannot say enough good things about this place. The food was great, but the ladies that were working were even better (and that is saying something because the food was amazing . We will definitely be back :"
