"very pleasant dining experience. overall, eating was very good. I'm puerto rican, so I know the kitchen. only complained was the pastel, which was part of the appetizer sample, which was cold, although it tasted quite well. also the fried pork scales have been a bit exaggerated. drinks were great and our server adriana was very attentive and very sweet. I would definitely return and would recommend"

100% recommend this place. The food is incredible, service is great. By far the best mojito in all of Hampton Roads. My son has some dietary restrictions and they were very accommodating, modifying some recipes to avoid allergies. I can't wait to go back next time I'm in Virginia Beach.

We were so excited to hear about De Rican. My husband and I love trying new restaurants and travel all over Hampton Roads looking for authentic, chef owned spots. We had such a great time, the food was amazing, drinks, super yummy! Our service, server Gabe was outstanding. We will for sure be taking the trip from Suffolk for another dining experience here soon!
