"We really wanted to love this place. When you walk in, it’s a beautiful space. The restaurant is quite large. We were seated in a comfortable area and had lots of space around us very COVID safe. We ordered the chips guac to start. The guacamole was good but topped with large, uneven chunks of raw onion. The chips were tasty but very thin and broke in half when you tried to dip into the guacamole. We ordered the Pixie Smash and Blood Orange Gimlet. Pixie Smash was super strong heavy on the bourbon. The Blood Orange Gimlet was very tasty. We both ordered the Short Rib Colorado as the main. Huge portion of meat on a plate of onion. Onions were a weird touch weren’t really seasoned or cooked well. The meat was good but felt random on the pile of onions. Side of asparagus was overly salty. Cilantro rice was tasty. Overall, meal was very just okay. Felt wrong paying so much for a very mediocre meal. Would not dine here again for dinner"

"I was raised in Ojai and I now live in Ventura. I go back up to Ojai as much as I can , we attended Art In The Park on Sunday . I was starving and needed food Ojai pizza is perfectly located right in the center of town and the food is unbelievably delicious. My husband and I split an Italian sub and let me tell you , it was definitely enough for two of us and filled us up !!!! ABSOLUTELY LOVE OUR PIZZA HOUSE !!!! TRY IT OUT! TRUST ME YOU'LL BE A REGULAR AFTER THAT!!!!"

"**Food - 4 stars:** The food was good, but I wouldn’t say it’s worth going out of your way for the bread with olive oil—though the olive oil itself was rich and flavorful. I really enjoyed the lamb carpaccio, which was also quite tasty, although the seasoning was inconsistent; some bites were overly salty while others were not. The lamb shank was nice, but the sauce leaned a bit too sweet for my taste. I was disappointed with the pork chop, as it was overcooked and too lean, making for a less enjoyable dining experience. **Service - 4 stars:** The service was fairly standard, although we did experience a lengthy wait between our appetizers and main courses. **Parking:** There is ample street parking available. **Bottom Line:** If you're in the Ojai area, the ambiance is fantastic, especially during sunset. I regret not trying the pasta or ravioli dishes, as the meat options left me wanting more."

"We discovered this amazing healthy restaurant today! It is clean and spacious with air conditioning inside. This is a self-service restaurant where you can choose your food and drinks at the counter, pay, and find a table. Although there are several tables inside, we chose to sit outside on the terrace. My husband, who is not a fan of vegetables, enjoyed his baguette and Gunpowder fries with homemade curry ketchup and delicious mustard. He found his baguette to be flavorful and the fries to be spicy and delicious. He even said he would come back to Hip Vegan! I ordered the Wagamama Bowl, which was heavenly. I loved all the Asian flavors in the bowl and the portion size was generous. I couldn't finish it all, so I took the rest home for dinner. I highly recommend the Wagamama bowl! I also tried a seasonal fruit soup - the watermelon juice mixed with soda. My husband had a beer from Hahn. After we finished our meal, we cleared our plates and disposed of our trash. Inside, there is a station where you can get your own metal utensils, glassware for water, and paper napkins. Overall, Hip Vegan is a delightful restaurant with delicious food and drinks."
