Edison James Island

Had a delicious meal here and great bottle of wine. Sunday is half price wine. Awesome service. Nick the bartender was fabulous. Have been to a few Charleston restaurants and this is a fave. The fig and cheese appetizer was my favorite.

I recently had a truly lovely dining experience here. From the decor and atmosphere, which are calming, to the staff who are friendly and helpful without ever being overbearing, to the food and wine this was the best meal out we've enjoyed in a long time. I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant. I will be back often!

Very high quality fresh food ingredients, tasty sauces and spices, wonderful plating presentation...except for my chipped white slanted soup cup and...LOTS of flies attacking and landing often on our food, plates and utensils. Did not expect that as weattempted valiantly to eat on the patio. You need fans or plate and bowl protecting food screen covers. We covered our plateswith napkins in between bites. Edison's restaurant is one of my favorites in Charleston. The food is wonderful with a charming unpredictable decor. I've eaten every guest on the menu and I haven't disappointed yet! I usually hate that a server tells me when I ask what is the best on the menu? just to say that it's all great! This is the truth - everything on the menu is delicious and very well thought out. A unique culinary experience, so good that I borrowed a copy of the menu to remember the names of the dishes I had. The West Indies Seafood Chowder was really unique in taste. The goat cheese Tartiner and Smokes Sausage Pops followed very tasty and the spices were 'spot on'. Some Caribbean pork Tenderloin and Tokyo Shrimp Cakes followed. When the dishes arrived, I was impressed by the presentation (Preview carefully refined food, carefully prepared and almost too well to eat, but we ate it all. The staff was very friendly to easily engage with our party and other guests by integrating, but not into the culinary experience. The prices were very reasonable. I've done all 30, and that's the only reason I've been gone for so long. Tonight, my fiancée surprised me at one night, so I knew I had to have my day of fraud in Edison. We had the Valentine who meant one of everything and one bottle of wine. Taxes and tips were included and this could not have been a better offer for the amount of food we have consumed. And our waiter, Cody, was fantastic. Extremely attentive and ensured that we always had a complete glass of wine (this first of course).
