"My favorite dine-in spot over on the east side is Effy's Kitchen, I take my family friends there for breakfast after church service on Sundays. Super nice staff, great atmosphere, the best service ever food is really fresh and great, we always leave feeling nourished ready to take on the day. So this morning I decided to give Effy's Cafe over on the west side a try thinking they might be affiliated so I expected same service food quality... I ordered the avocado toast sunny side up eggs w/ an iced americano.... sadly the takeout plating at the cafe was not the best. I wouldn't do take out here again. The pita toast was really soggy, drenched in running egg white and yolk, I asked for extra avocado it was smothered all over the container top lid. It was just that the take out container was much too small for the dish, looking at it made me loose my appetite... it had to go to waste but the iced Americano was superb! ... However, I'm not giving up on the cafe just yet...perhaps it will be a different experience dining in ... I'll hit the spot in person tomorrow after church .... but they definitely need to improve their take out service ... a bit of thought effort I'm sure customers would greatly appreciate Effy's Cafe for it."

Ordered two Shak Shuka, regular size. One with gluten-free bread. One glass of red wine. One Super Green.

The Green Shakshuka was fantastic. The portion size was just right and the pita and hummus that came with it were delicious. The service was also very good! View menu

Wow. Great service! Good food. They took our orders while we waited and just as we sat down the food came out. Shout out to the people that work there. Amazing job.

Best falafel I've had in New York, and the cauliflower was so flavorful with the cranberries and almonds. We brought in a big group and Mea and the team took great care of us.

I’m a regular the food is awesome. The place is very busy small but if you have patience and a great attitude Sandy will make sure you leave with a big smile and a satisfied tummy. View menu

The omelette itself was good. But it was not seasoned. However it did come with little salt and pepper packets on the side. The avocado looked a bit suspicious so I did not eat it so I would be wary of that.

I had an incredible experience at this restaurant while on vacation, enjoying both breakfast and lunch. The menu had plenty of delicious vegetarian options to choose from, which I really appreciated. Additionally, the waitress was extremely friendly and made the overall dining experience even better.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
