"We returned for a company dinner a few weeks ago, and I want to start by saying that the owners and staff are absolutely wonderful. The service was excellent, contributing to a fantastic overall experience. This is a great establishment that should definitely be on your list of places to try. I would honestly rate it 4.5 stars because I wished for a bit more flavor in my main dish, but since I tend to be picky, I can't justifiably give it a 4-star rating—that wouldn't be fair. The food was very good, and the tapas were outstanding. If you're looking for something different to drink, skip the regular red or white sangrias and go for the passion fruit sangria; it's delicious! I can't wait to return and sample more dishes!"

Delicious food and attentive service. The grilled octopus was outstanding—so tender and flavorful.

A very pleasant place with good easy listening music and great food. We ordered 5 different tapas and they were all delicious. Note to the waiters: the less diluted the sangria, the better the tips.

I was totally surprised by the preparations and level of service. Our server was highly informed. Truly one of the best dining experiences I've had in NYC in a while. I judged the book by the cover and was WAY wrong. A new neighborhood favorite within walking distance of my apt.

Been going here for years. This is a small place with very intimate attention. The owner is always around which I always find comforting in a restaurant. The food is amazing, aside from the appetizers on the menu, they have a large number of new ones available daily. The waiters are amazing! View menu

I had been trying to come here for ages! It's one block from my apartment and I could not be happier with my findings. The tapas here are really delicious, the passion fruit sangria is terrific and a steal. I also love the service. People that work here have been for many years. They're all very sweet, patient, and all-around seem like good people.

I absolutely love this restaurant! The food is incredible, and I even brought a chef along who was really impressed. The service can be a bit slow, but the atmosphere more than makes up for it. I've seen it suggested as a wedding venue, and I took my mother here for her birthday. I will definitely be coming back. Just a heads up: there’s a 4% surcharge for using credit cards, which is mentioned at the entrance. Cash is the way to go!

For over 15 years not at this location. Decided to go dinner with my husband tonight and I was amazed with the change of administration. Albert Manager is very attractive. Our server Bryan was AMAZING first the inviting smile as the courtesy, respect and knowledge of the dishes was spectacular. The waiters of Israel and Francisco were very attentive and wonderful. W were so happy with the ambience, food, service, music and love. Thank you for making this night a great one! View menu

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
