"First time visiting this establishment and will be our last. Our server (Nick) was spectacular but unfortunately, that's where it ended. We sat outside which wouldn't be our first pick but our son wanted to stay out there. The flies went crazy once we got our food and the loud road next to us was kind of annoying but manageable. They barely have any drink choices, so if you don't like the 3-4 soda choices, they have a more expensive drink menu that they have lots of choices for. The food is extremely expensive for what you get! $15 for a HALF of a quesadilla (2 pieces) is insane! I got the $30 steak that comes on a hot plate to finish cooking to your liking. The steak came out already cooked to about medium already so I grabbed it off the hot plate and cut it up on the side plate. My husband got fish tacos with Mangos and tomatoes on top he said they were just edible. The only food item that we all actually enjoyed was the free bread that comes out at the beginning. The exceptional service is what kept it from a 1 star because he was amazing, but unfortunately the whole reason why we were there, was to try the food."

My first time here. Some coworkers and I went for lunch. We were immediately seated, greeted, drink order taken, and food was out quickly. Everything was fresh and delicious! The patio was beautiful. Can't wait to go back.

This place is extremely overrated and overpriced. Food is mediocre at best. Expect a charge if you don't pay cash. Our experience was completely underwhelming. Not in Florida. But it feels like it! Daquiri, Shrimp Ceviche, Cuban Sandwich, Homemade bread and sauce, Sangria. Latin American Style! Felt like I was in the Latin Quarter of Ybor City, Tampa again! Just when I was feeling homesick for that. Delicious Food, authenic Drinks and Atmosphere plus! Ordered too much, but glad for the leftovers. One of the owners stopped to talk to me and my waiter was very professional and nice. I will be back again.

I love El meson. Our last visit was a little disappointing. Took husband for Father's Day on Saturday. He ordered the tenderloin steak. He received his steak about 10 mins before I received my meal, which isn't fun, when you have to wait for the other person to get their food.(and it's just you two) He had a hot sizzling steak and tried to wait for my food to be delivered. But I didn't want his food to get cold ,so I insisted that he eat. The flavors of everything are outstanding. I just didn't understand why it was served like that. My order was the stacked salmon, which is not served very hot, so why it wasn't prepared first beats me. Won't stop us from returning, just a little disappointi...
