"I recently dined at a restaurant that exceeded all my expectations. The BBQ pork ribs were absolutely delicious and the meal also included three sides. I opted for candied yams, roasted cauliflower, and okra, as well as a side of jalapeno cornbread. For dessert, I had a mouthwatering lime cake. The owners were very friendly, although the chef wouldn't share her secret recipe for the fried cauliflower. She did mention that it involved a fresh tomato sauce, which added a unique and delightful flavor to the dish. Overall, the experience was exceptional and the food stood out amongst all the other restaurants I have visited recently. This establishment has definitely earned a spot at the top of my favorites list."

Home-cooked food at its finest . I had stuffed cabbage and my husband had the catfish. Both were excellent. 3 side dishes plus cornbread were included. The restaurant itself is very cozy and homey, if a bit hard to find since it's kind of in an alley. Don't go there if you're in a hurry because everything is lovingly made to order.

I just moved to Deming and was looking for an alternative to the wonderful Mexican restaurants in Deming. I read the great reviews and was excited to try Elisa’s.I walked in to a dark, dingy environment. No one greeted me or acknowledged my presence although an employee was in the dining area. Love pies and southern food so hunted this down. Owners were eztremely nice so set down for a great meal. The food tasted like it came out of a can-no homemade here, even tho' they profess it is. Nothing special, bland and expensive for what you get. The pies are said to be homemade but they looked like any store bought pie, flat. Won't go back. Save your money. Sorry.

I visited a quaint little restaurant on And Gasse. It was very clean with unique decorations and historical items displayed on the walls. The chicken is cooked to order, so be prepared to wait a bit. I ordered the chicken hunch, while my partner ordered the ribs. We also had coleslaw, rice and beans, and jalapeño cornbread as sides, all of which were delicious. We were too full for dessert, which was disappointing.

home cooking in a picturesque little place with 5 tables inside and a few outside. it is a bit difficult to find, because it is in the street behind the wells fargo bank. it's been heard for 13 years from a few originally from Mississippi. he makes most of the kitchen and she bakes the cake. I hesitate to order meat store everywhere, but glad I was here. my man had prepared the cried chicken. It takes about 30 minutes as it is cooked when ordered. we had no care to wait for the good huh it is worth waiting. yum! a must try when in deming! View menu

Home cooking in a quaint little place with 5 tables inside and a couple outside. It's a little difficult to find, because it's in the alley behind the Wells Fargo Bank. It's been owned for 13 years by a couple originally from Mississippi. He does most of the cooking and she bakes the pies. I hesitate to order meatloaf anywhere, but glad I did here. My husband had the skillet fried chicken...be prepared, that takes about 30 minutes, as it is cooked when ordered. We had no concerns about the wait, GOOD chicken is worth waiting for. YUM! A must try when in Deming!

Today was my second visit to this restaurant in Alamogordo, and it was simply to enjoy a fantastic lunch. I knew my friends would love everything as well. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy and inviting, and the food is delicious. Make sure to save room for dessert or take some to go! I was impressed by the owner and waitress during my first visit, and the food was mouthwatering and true to its southern comfort roots. The fried chicken is made to order, so there may be a short wait, but it is definitely worth it. This place is a hidden gem that you should not miss out on!
