"The new chef of the Ê.A.T restaurant (newly appointed this summer, 2017) has challenged himself to satisfy six gourmet heads and the challenge has been met with flying colors! Very nice presentation for the starters. Smooth and tasty. Very nice idea! The entry of foie gras, very nice association with the small molasses (I think) and the foie gras too. I just discovered a good combination ;-) The fish of the day was really delicious and very fresh. It was melting in your mouth. The arrangement of the fish with the accompaniment of cauliflower in the tagine made a beautiful marriage. Usually I'm not a fan of the skin but the 'crispy' texture made me even eat it all. Marshmallows better than at L'Épicier, because the consistency is closer to the marshmallows we know, very tasty. Very good desserts, profiteroles and churros ... strong coffee. Frankly top. Everything was delicious and SUPER service I found. We enjoyed it so much that we will be trying the brunch soon! One of our friends who was dining with us, wanted to share this review: Sommelier was amazing. Very knowledgeable and went out of his way to find a wine to my taste and price range. Service was good and waiter very friendly. My husband was going to order the burger but was glad that he picked the steak instead. He really enjoyed it and it was cooked exactly like he wanted it. He loved the tuna tartar and said it was amazing! I liked the basket with the 2 types of breads. They were very fresh and delicious. Place was very clean. It was a very nice experience The tuna tartar was one of the best I've ever tasted!"

We went for Sunday brunch.. the lobster Benedict is incredible. Some ordered omelettes that were amazing. We started with mamosas, a must for a great brunch.

Felt a little like a modern spot in Barcelona. Fusion of delicate champagne, fresh oysters and seafood presented as art in a chic Art Deco environment. Excellent service. Get tickets!

For what it's supposed to be, it's very ordinary. The food was ok but nothing more, and I found the bill to be spicier than my dishes. I am gluten intolerant and the restaurant accommodated me. View menu

I came to meet some business partners in Montreal this weekend and we had agreed to meet at the W Hotel where they were staying.Restaurant was quiet and was wondering if we should eat there but decided to try anyway. Service and food were great, had the tuna tartare, followed by sharing a Tomahawk steak and a 3 story sea food platter. Was a great experience and the art on the walls such as Darth Vader and Batman wearing suits was impressive.

We stayed for a short week in the W hotel, having dinner once and breakfast every morning at the neighboring EAT. The dinner was perfect, excellent pie to share, very good fries, delicious tartars and foie gras ... the breakfast made from eggs benedict with lobster is simply a marvel, no doubt about it. a must see of this establishment. If in addition you are served by Liliane, breakfast becomes a real moment of happiness, she has a disarming smile and attention! Well done for the service!

Located in the heart of the business district, accessible via the W hotel, this restaurant doesn't hesitate to keep its prices high, sometimes outrageously high for what you eat there. Usually cold things, like buxom salads and carpaccios, moreover very good. A place where you hope to be seen by your peers if you have reached a place where you can be admitted by them if you are not yet. In short, for a well-stocked wallet and ambition to match. Very pleasant place in a decor that complements the cost of the menu! View menu

My wife and I recently ate at E.A.T. while on a stay in Montreal. We decided to meet friends who were already at the W. The decor is amazing. The art work is eclectic without being a distraction and it reminded us of being in a gallery in NYC. They had plenty of delicious options for lunch including very affordable and very tasty "bento" boxes. The service was attentive and our waiter literally seemed a step ahead of us at all times. I would absolutely come back and would strongly recommend for social or business occasions (the room is spacious and conducive for easy conversation - at least at lunch!) Plus the value was tremendous (e.g. it won't hurt your bottom line to take clients here).

I had a fantastic dinner with some friends because of their Oysters event! $10 per dozen and it was yummy! The dozen of Oysters also includes a glass of white wine or beer. The event is ending on April 30th.We also ordered the paella, the Canard (a mixture of many things) as well as an extra foie gras. Yummy Yummy Yummy. To finish off we added a seafood platters with big, I mean BIG BIG shrimp. All the seafood we had was super fresh and the rest were super tasty! Be sure to try their foie gras, the Canard mixture also have foie gras.As for service, our waiter Marc took great care of us! A1!Price wise for sure it's a bit higher than a regular restaurant but it's not overly expensive for a resta...

"This evening I opted for Toqué’s seven-course tasting menu, and while the service was nothing short of exceptional, the experience unfortunately fell flat where it mattered most—the food. I wanted to love Toqué so badly, and I was excited to see if the restaurant lived up to its reputation. To be clear, It’s not that the ingredients were bad. They were fine—perfectly average, even. But we came expecting culinary fireworks, and instead, it was more of a damp sparkler moment. The dishes were neither memorable nor particularly flavorful, leaving little to linger on the palate or in our minds. For a tasting menu at this price point, we anticipated an experience that would excite and surprise, but instead found ourselves with courses that were forgettable and uninspired. Not a single course left me wow’d and despite the modest portion sizes, many of the plates left our table largely untouched. The flavors just didn’t inspire the kind of enthusiasm that draws you back for that next bite, and ultimately, it spoke volumes about the disconnect between expectation and execution. Montreal is overflowing with incredible food, and I’ve long believed it can hold its own against some of the best food cities around the world. With that in mind, I couldn’t help but feel a little deflated. There are so many gems in this city that bring creativity, heart, and an actual punch of flavor—Toqué just didn’t do Montreal any justice tonight."
