"Flat Top definitely had me checking my directions to make sure I was headed to the right location, but they are now for sure one of Riverside's best brunch eats in my books! I love a good seafood brunch and was happy to see that they offered quite a few seafood dishes on their menu. My friend and I ordered the calamari, Millionaire's Grilled Cheese, and the Capellini Lobster Pasta to share because both of those two main dishes were calling to us! The calamari starter had a perfect crisp and bite to it, and was served with a fresh and hot tomato basil house made sauce and a chilled horseradish cocktail sauce. This dish really gave me confidence that our mains were going to be delicious they were all that and more! The Millionaire's Grilled Cheese came out with a plentiful amount of lobster, prosciutto, and three different cheeses served on nicely toasted sourdough and a side of lightly coated fries. It was simply a dream. The Capellini Lobster pasta really took the cake for us. The dish had a perfect balance of savory butter in lemon white wine sauce, and all the herbs and sun dried tomatoes under a nicely cooked lobster tail. We also had a few delicious drinks with our food, and our favorites would have to be the Passion Fruit Mojito and the Peach Cobbler dessert drink. On top of the delicious food we had, we also received amazing service from our host who frequently kept up with us and made sure that we had everything we needed. We were there for a good amount of time catching up over brunch, and we both agreed that Flat Top had a nice atmosphere where you can chill and hang out for a little bit."

The food was good, but I probably wouldn't return. I think the staff could benefit from being a bit more polished and professionally dressed for a restaurant setting. However, that's just my personal opinion.

After having one unpleasant experience, we decided to give this restaurant another chance because we've enjoyed everything in the past. We took our friend to celebrate his 84th birthday. I must say, they really hit it out of the park this time! The food was fantastic, the waitress was hardworking, and the atmosphere was fun. This was not our vibe on a Friday night. Super loud music inside. Like couldn't hear each other without yelling so we sat outside. Then some dudes were smoking cigars on the patio (there is no such thing as a smoking section. The smell permeates esp when it's windy). Thats a big red flag for me. It's all we could smell so we moved again. All the while country music videos showing on every tv (but muted cause the techo from inside was playing outside too).
