"This was our second time visiting this restaurant. The first time was on Mother's Day and we had to wait over 2 hours to receive our meals from a ridiculously limited menu. Staff is atrocious, left hand does not talk to the right-hand and all are completely and totally clueless. We were told they had no lettuce that day yet we saw several other people eating salads. If you are seated in the wrong place, you will freeze under a cold air vent and they will not move you. Staff does not listen when you enter your order. The second time we went they refused to seat us at the door even though I showed them a confirmed reservation made through OpenTable several weeks beforehand. So users of OpenTable should be aware! A confirmed reservation is only a request at this restaurant, it does not guarantee you anything and you may be met with hostility. Staff at the door was very rude and after much arguing, they finally accommodated us. To their only credit, the manager and one waitress did try to make things right. It is unfortunate, because the food is slightly above-average and taste. Not worth risking a third try when you live in the Cleveland area with so many choices."

Fourk exceeded my expectations! The food was amazing, and the service was swift and friendly. I would definitely recommend Fourk to friends and anyone seeking a lively dining experience.

We arrived at the restaurant to find a sign on the door stating that they were closed! We were never informed about this in advance, and it was supposed to be a celebration for my mother's birthday. We were extremely disappointed and will not be returning!

eating was not impressed. my man is vegan, and had only 2 main courses choice. that sounds good, but the roasted spaghetti quesh was not good. Carrot Slave was terrible. red carrots were pasted, house meat was blanched. don't go back. very disappointed from eating. service was excellent. the waitress was there. o View menu

The meals were good, had the pecan crusted salmon and the shrimp and grits. Liked those, the sides were lacking. I was not convinced that the raspberry sauce was a good pairing with the salmon, but the grits and shrimp were great. We also got the Mule and they were fantastic! We were told they make their own ginger beer in house.

I saw a review before I said the food was overpriced and there is no good choice. It is not the cheesecake factory with a 15-page menu, but the burger, at $10 is more than a good reason to check the place. The menu options are interesting tasty and, in case of the $10 burger or $11 fish sandwich, quite plentiful. Entrances are a little on the expensive side, bit they are not just meat and two Veg combos. If you ever hesitate to try a Monday or Tuesday evening where there are usually very little waiting and give it a try. The decor is comfortable and tasteful. The beer selection is quite wide and also interesting cocktails on the menu.

There was really nothing horribly wrong with our dining experience. But there was definitely something missing. There was no character or personality to the restaurant. Although the place was practically empty when we arrived, the service was slow and apathetic. When I had to raise my voice twice to summon the waitress for another drink, it was over for me. The menu was intriguing with some different selections and I enjoyed the salmon I ordered. My dining partner wasn't happy with the city chicken, but more a matter of taste than preparation. At the end of our meal, the waitress seemed to be hurrying us off, assuming we didn't want dessert. It was a special occasion, but next time we'll go... View menu

We had high hopes trying The Fourk for the first time. The building is historic, and the menu looked good. When we walked in, the ambiance was nice. Unfortunately, both our meals left something to be desired. I chose the French Onion chicken, which was delicious. My side choices, however, were not. The green beans were barely cooked and still quite crunchy and stringy. The sweet potatoes were anything but, had a strange flavor, and looked as if they had been way over cooked they were a dark brown and not orange. I didn’t eat them. My dining companion chose the scallops over Cajun grits. The scallops were cooked well, and were served atop an overflowing plate of grits. Being from the South, s...

We had a reservation. First person arrived and was waiting at bar. Second person arrived and they went to check in. It was over 10 minutes until someone came and seated us. Waitress was only one on floor and again, over 10 minutes when she came by to say she would be right with us after checking other party out. After 15 minutes wait barmaid came and took Oder. She took over waiting on us rest of evening. Again when other 2 joined us long wait to place drink order so we placed food order at same time. Good finally arrived and was good. We came back after not coming since Fourks opening where we experienced the same issues. Reason we came back was someone gave gift card. Owners or managers we...

"This place should have a line out the door to eat here. Honestly, some of the best food (Thai or otherwise) I have had (speaking as a 300 pound man). It would not surprise me if, one day, it is considered easier to escape from Alcatraz back in the day than to get an open table here.I started with the spring rolls which were fresh and piping hot. The insides were perfectly peppered and the chili sauce served to complement well. For my main dish, I had the crispy chicken fried rice... where to start with this one???The chicken itself was juicy, cut-with-a-spoon-tender, salted perfectly, and with a nice, crisp breading that is fried to perfection. If Colonel Sanders were alive today, you would be getting KFC served a la Thai 999 Express. Now, for the rice itself. I ordered a level 4, and was warned it might be a bit much. I did get a little bead or two of sweat, but it wasn't overpowering. Mind you, I enjoy spicy foods and have built a tolerance. Your mileage may vary. As far as the taste quality of the rice, this is where Thai 999 Express earned its wings with me. I love fried rice, and I (perhaps unfairly) judge an Asian restaurant's quality by their fried rice (let's be honest, if a restaurant can't make good fried rice, it doesn't bode well for the rest of the menu). Thai 999 Express has, hands down, the absolite best fried rice I have ever had.If you are in the area, do yourself a favor and eat here. You're welcome."
