"Pros: The decor is modern, and pretty. The kids enjoyed the lights. Nice music and vibe. Kids were dancing. Fresh fish. Cons: Service was subpar. They didn't bring out wasabi or soy sauce with our sushi, or katsu sauce with our tonkatsu until we flagged them down. There were only a handful of parties, but they kept ignoring us when they walked by. Wasabi was left out. It was drying out, and changing color. Tonkatsu tasted too meaty (hard to describe, but they didn't marinade the meat, and neutralize the smells, as is typical for Korean or Japanese cuisine) The rice was undersweetened there was weird super salty green onion it looked like on top of our rolls. spicy tuna were super small. specialty rolls only had 6 pieces Overall the sushi is just okay. It's overpriced for what it is, and its easy to get a better experience elsewhere. Fish was fresh, but I haven't seen evidence the chefs know how to bring out the best from the fish."

This restaurant serves the most delicious salmon teriyaki bento box. They use an actual piece of salmon, not thin, overcooked slices like many other places. Being Japanese myself, I think this restaurant is quite impressive.

Fish were not fresh. Staffs are ok but felt sushi and sashimi we had was worst or second worst I ever had. Felt all the sashimi and sushi were served fish that are about to go bad. However, shrimp Tempura and fried calamari were good. Udon was only as good as in school cafeteria quality.

I used to be a regular customer at octopus but i went to Fujiya, which is across the street, the fish there is fresh, the inside is very pretty, and the staff is friendly. The food came out quick which is a plus. I ordered Toro (fatty tuna) which is my favorite dish, it came out fresh and delicious. View menu

I have been a patron of Fujiya for more than 6 years, but I stopped visiting after COVID. However, I recently returned to give it another try and it seems like there are new owners now. The sushi is incredibly fresh and the rolls are bursting with flavor. I plan to return soon for another delicious meal!

Fujiya used to be my favorite local sushi spot but after 2 recent bad take outs, I will no longer come here for my sushi needs. Not only did they raise their prices by about 20%, the rice is mushy now and lacks flavor. Thought they had a bad day, but it happened twice. : I understand the higher price but that's quite a jump.

The atmosphere at this sushi restaurant is more like a club, which may not be everyone's vibe, but the quality of the fish is really good, which is what matters most. The nigiri sushi was the standout dish, surpassing even the rolls and entrees. I would recommend sticking to the dishes with predominantly fish and skipping those with fillers. The sake margaritas are not worth it - they don't even taste like alcohol. Stick to beer or sake like a regular person. View menu

I'm a regular customer that comes to fujiya most of the time. The decor inside the restaurant is very beautiful, they did a nice job with it. The employees here are very friendly and the service is quick as well. They play any type of music which I love. The sushi here is fresh and delicious. What I love the most is that they server sake margaritas, they are the best drinks that I had, the restaurant and food is a plus and I recommend coming here for gatherings, parties and etc.

My friends and I were surprised it was pretty empty when we got there. The seating area has a nice vibe with the cherry blossoms around the booths and there's multiple TVs dotting the walls. Staff was super friendly too. First thing we tried were the sake margaritas; we all ordered a different flavor (peach, lychee, apple) and they were pretty good--the lychee one was the best. In terms of rolls I ordered the lemon roll. Sounds like an iffy combination but it works really well. The lemon is bright but not overpowering. It's an interesting concept! I can see myself returning for another great time.

"Easily my favorite bakery in LA!!! Being French, I feel like it's so hard to find good authentic French bakeries but Lou sets the bar soooooo high! No other bakeries have topped Lou's. The croissants are *chef's kiss*, they're flaky, buttery and taste delicious EVERY TIME! I also like their chocolate bread (pain au chocolat) and eclairs, though the eclairs are much sweeter so if you're into that, definitely give them a try! I really love how they are consistent with their pastries. There was never a time when I was disappointed. Now keep in mind they get very busy on the weekend, the wait can be long like 20 mins, especially if you order sandwiches (which by the way, are delicious too and worth it!!! I tried the chicken and turkey sandwiches and would highly recommend them). I think they run out of baguettes after 1pm or even sooner sometimes so if you want baguettes or sandwiches, definitely show up earlier. Even their drinks are so good, I always get their vanilla latte and once again, it tastes delicious e-ve-ry single time! Wanna know another thing I love about this place? The service! Every time we ordered sandwiches and the wait was long, they'd give us a heads up before finalizing our order in case we wanted to skip the sandwiches. One time, there was a mixup which resulted in us getting our sandwiches later than expected so to apologize for the wait, they offered us a croissant * * You will also often see Lou, the chef and owner, walk around and say hi to his customers. He may even sit with them and chat for a few minutes. He seems to know a lot of people in the neighborhood and that's actually how it is in France. Bakeries are in every corner and we love our bakers! Anyway I know this is now a super long review but I only have amazing things to say about this place, their food, the chef and the staff. I just wish they'd open every day"

"As an Italian, I can confidently say that nothing about this place felt authentically Italian to me, aside from a slideshow on the television and the appealing decor. A true Italian restaurant welcomes guests with warmth and hospitality. Initially, the busboy informed me that he needed to check with his manager about seating me. After some time, she approached me and seated me, and the busboy promptly ensured I had water. However, things went downhill very quickly from there. The service was atrocious, with the staff being either curt or outright rude. The only exception was the busboy in the mask, who was genuinely sweet and considerate. I have allergies to alcohol and vinegar, and when I asked several questions, the manager, who was also my waitress, confidently assured me that the artichokes were fresh and grilled. She insisted that I had nothing to worry about regarding my allergies. Sadly, this turned out to be a complete lie. The artichokes were definitely not fresh; they tasted canned or jarred, and the claim that they were grilled was simply untrue. The moment I took a bite, I could tell there was vinegar in it, causing an itchy and burning sensation on the roof of my mouth. When I got up to find the waitress and express my concerns, I was met with defensiveness. The worst part was when she admitted she couldn’t comment on the artichokes because she didn’t eat them herself, and she couldn’t get clear answers from the cooks, only that they were imported. I felt extremely uncomfortable with her dismissive attitude and lack of knowledge. Ultimately, she offered to remove the dish from my bill but insisted that these were special imported artichokes. To me, this felt like being gaslit. I continued to stress the seriousness of my allergies after just one bite of the dish. I asked her why she would serve me an artichoke if she wasn’t sure about its marinade and why my questions weren’t being answered by the kitchen staff. I was left feeling frustrated and more than tempted to leave, but out of respect for my main dish order, I decided to stay, expecting my meal to arrive soon. I ordered chicken piccata and specifically requested that no wine be used due to my severe alcohol allergy. The waitress informed me that the cook wanted me to know it wouldn’t taste the same, which was fine with me. I saw other patrons who came in after me receiving their steaks and pastas, while I sat waiting for nearly an hour. Eventually, I asked a male waiter for an update on my dish, only to be told that it needed to cook. As if I didn’t already know that. When my chicken piccata finally arrived, I was starving. I wanted to scream! I had mentioned my hunger when I arrived, yet it seemed like they either didn’t serve bread or didn’t care to offer any. I had to get up to ask for Parmesan cheese since no one bothered to offer it to me like they did for the other tables. No one ever checked on how my meal was going; I had to approach the counter to pay. As I looked around, I couldn’t believe how generously everyone else was treated, while I felt completely ignored. As I write this review, I’m dealing with a painful stomach ache, rehashing the experience in my mind. I can't understand why I wasn't asked if I needed an appetizer or dessert, or if my allergies were worsening. Nothing! To add insult to injury, my waitress apologized for the long wait after bringing my chicken, claiming it was due to accommodating a larger party. I honestly can’t believe I left a tip. I’ve never been so relieved to leave a restaurant. I will never return to this place, and I recommend that you don’t either. UPDATE THE NEXT DAY: I confirmed there was indeed alcohol and/or vinegar in my food. An hour after writing my review, I was doubled over the toilet all night. This quickly escalated into dehydration and a severe migraine. My throat and nose started closing up, and I nearly had to use my EpiPen. With allergies, reactions can be immediate or delayed, and mine come on slowly but then escalate quickly. I am absolutely miserable today and had to call off work. I am changing my rating from two stars to one star."
